    Serious Lebron question?

This is supposedly the best conditioned athlete in the NBA, yet he is the only one who can't finish this game. All the old guys are rolling with it, Wade is still rolling. Big loss for the Heat no doubt without the best player in the game finishing...but let's get real. He needs a better conditioning coach.

Yeah and I saw 15 other players finishing the game too in the same conditions. I like excuses, but excuses about a single players conditioning...laughable.

Also remember how many games and minutes he's logged in the past 4 seasons. The Heat have managed Wade's minutes and games played these past couple seasons but have run LeBron into the ground and its finally caught up to him.

LeBron is great but will never be the greatest. Maybe top 10 but not top 5. Guy clutched down, manned down, and just plain couldn't bring it when it all mattered.

Haven't really watched many heat playoffs games, but everyone on postgame is mentioning that this isn't the first time he has cramped up in the playoffs. When was this?

There must be something he takes that makes him susceptible to dehydration/cramps.

Maybe he exerts more energy to do what he does on the court. Wade, Duncan and the rest don't play like LeBron plays. If Russel Westbrook was playing this game he'd be dying. And i'm not convinced the AC wasn't turned off on purpose to bring the pace of the game down to a Spurs style of game. In my mind it makes too much sense, its something i would do if i was in Spurs management.

Lebron looked like a WWE wrestler.

    See you at Wrestlemania.

Guy has his own "keep your eye on Lebron" app

Guy is the best... most well conditioned athlete in the world. Odd.

if this was his first time cramping i wouldnt take issue with it, but this happens a lot for him, to much for the "best athlete in the world" it's clear he needs to fix this problem because it cost his team the game tonight, but it also proved how good he is because they fell apart without him.

    Something like that.

It's just odd that he continues to have this issue especially since it's rare in the NBA.

How do guys that play outdoors in high temps manage to play all day long?

And they do this without commercial breaks and timeouts. I am convinced many pro athletes are pussies.

I think there's a big difference when you're playing in a 72° arena, and then it suddenly, without warning, bolts up to around 85°. Or however high it was.

I'm sure he could have played, and been hydrated properly, had he known the weather conditions going into the game.

This is what I don't get. There are 2 new really nice courts that recently got built about a block from my house and they are always full of guys playing full court basketball, and they are there all day long regardless of how hot or cold that it is. Like 2 weeks ago it was over 90 here and I could smell the sweat cooking on the court from my backyard.

Game 5 was a classic, with Bird coming up with a huge game in one of the (literally) hottest games ever (97 °F (36 °C)) in the non-air conditioned Boston Garden. Game 7 was also contested in hot temperatures that hovered around 91 °F (33 °C).

The 1984 NBA World Championship Series was the championship round of the 1983-84 NBA season. In 1984, the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in a seven-game Finals, winning Game 7 111-102. Larry Bird averaged 27 points and 14 rebounds a game during the series, earning the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP). Bird was also named the league regular season MVP for that year.

Many of us go to work everyday at an indoor job where the temperature varies. How can average guys go balls to the wall for 8 hours straight in different temps while conditioned athletes can't last 30 minutes? And they get multiple breaks.

Like when he mysteriously disappeared in the Boston playoffs with an elbow injury that everyone said he would have to have surgery but miraculously healed on it's own.

Greats have no problems in the heat
There were a total of seven future hall-of-famers playing in this series, including Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, Kevin Mchale, Bob McAdoo, Robert Parish, and James Worthy, along with Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. To say the least, this series definitely had star power and the country took notice. The first four games in the series were played as expected, and the series was tied at 2 a piece heading into Game 5. Game 5 was played in Boston Garden and is known for the sweltering temperatures inside during the game. The Garden did not have any air conditioning, so the temperature inside would reach 97 degrees during an especially hot June in New England. The heat could not affect Larry Bird as he led the Celtics to a Game 5 win, putting them one victory away from another Celtics championship.

I do play sports and am athletic and I can still play for hours at a time, and I am no conditioned athlete who's whole life revolves around getting paid to play a sport.

cramps are caused by calcium deficiency. he doesnt know that and his team doctors reject that idea due to the fact they cant rape your wallet with it. and with toes like he has its easy to see why he cramped up. his toes show clear deficiency. I used to have toes just like him. I got on osteo fx by youngevity and a complete nutritional regimen and my toes straightened out and look normal. I had a mangled finger bone that was crooked become straight due to calcium supplementation. calcium has 59 cofactors for absorption though so its not that simple.

edit - whoa, never seen the dudes toes before. ^^

I didn't make this thread to bash Bron btw...I really think there is something up here either conditioning wise or nutrition wise, especially if this isn't the first time of him cramping up. You would think a guy with the means to do so would have the best people around him concerning his health as an top athlete.
