    Favorites 6-1-1 so far....

All these numbers are according to sportsdatabase. Can't confirm the accuracy of these numbers (and obviously a few of these results depend on line shopping and such), but in general it looks like favorites have done quite well the past few seasons.

    2008 Playoffs:
    Favorites
    47-37-1 ats

    2009 Playoffs:
    Favorites
    42-40-3 ats

    2010 Playoffs:
    Favorites
    49-28 ats

    2011 Playoffs:
    Favorites
    37-43-1 ats

    2012 Playoffs:
    Favorites
    50-32-1 ats

    2013 Playoffs:
    Favorites??????????

The total record from 2008-2012 is
    225-180-6 ats (55.55%)

And the only 2 games I bet this weekend were two dogs

lol. i bet a dog (grizz) and its been my only loss so far this playoffs. this trend is some what surprising tho, because you would think the books would inflate the favs especially during the playoffs, when the public loves favs, to a point where its hitting btwn 30-40% over this long of a trend. however, if i was a book. why not take the free hit to get you hooked rout, and give a little back to the public, during the biggest public playing time, to ensure loosing action during next season... IMO sharps make their money during the season, playoffs shouldnt make or break them. squares lose money during the season. to keep them coming back, the books gotta give a little back at the end so they arent leaving the squares with a bad taste in their mouth even tho they have been sucking dick all season.

    Good post.
I think this year there will be more lines that reflect a betting public that will profit on the side of the ATS Favourite.
Even more so than last year.
Was it 2008 when the NBA went from the 5 game rounds to the 7 game rounds?

It's what you expect on game 1s. Game 2 will be different. Books will adjust by game 2.
