    Raptors v. Pacers

Took a quick glance on early lines and this one caught my eye. Yeah, I know bookies are trying to lure us into a trap etc.

But come on, Craptors are only 2 point underdogs against Pacers? How on earth they are going to break through that defence? Of course, I haven't looked deeper in this one, but would like to hear your thoughts?!

Raptors is the only team that beat the Pacers at their home court twice. Even the mighty Heat fail to do it.

And all 3 meetings this season were decided by just 2 points.

Don't fall for the trap. That's Pacers all day everyday and on top of that it's on a Friday. Everyone who been keeping up with how games play out on Friday will know how it goes. Take the Pacers minus the points.

This is tough. I like the pacers but I like the raptors tomorrow. I wonder how much that spread changes

Tough , bit of wind outta the sails for raps and playoff hopes, with 2 str8 loses (shoulda wons) to the wizards and cavs less kyrie ! Accompanied with wins my milwakee , theyre playoff hopes seem all but dashed,
raps may want to lose a few so they can turn down intensity for remainder of season,
this is an indy play or pass,
    and thats my 'professional' opinion,

Raptors have won 5 out of 6 Friday night home games this season; Pacers have won only 2 out of 5 Friday night road games. (Just fun fact I researched)

The Raptors have looked like dog sh** the past 2 games against Wizards and Cleveland and it's mainly down to coaching. The coach does not know when to call timeouts or when to bring in the starting unit back into the game.

Pacers playing on a back to back, but I still like them.

Was Hibberts suspension only 1 game?? If so, I like it even more now that he returns.

It was only 1 game, as far as I recall, but double-checking right now....yeah 1 game!

    So let's get this right....

In your estimation the "trap" play would be the Raps?

90+% of the public would salivate over a IND -1.5 line playing the Raps, regardless of venue.

Most who pay attention will tell you to take the home dogs on Friday nights.... seems to me like the home teams have been showing up for these Friday games.

When was the last time a play on the Raptors was considered a "trap" play?

At the end of the day I did not pick sides, but wen with the total, however, statement that on Friday nights home teams show up is a bit too loud, because usually exact opposite is happening. I look at this perspective as well.

I'm trying to get Pacers @ -2 before it goes up but my local won't text back. Don't over think this one, Pacers are a better team the odds are in their favor.

There's a chance Granger doesn't play because of the back-to-back situation

This line will barely move off of 2

And you can still get -1.5

    The story of SBR forum:

Takes Indiana vs. Clippers and loses.

    Takes Toronto vs. Indiana and...

    Guess what.

Good point. Honestly though I don't think it matters that much. This Indiana team is far more talented and has a much better inside/defensive game. Toronto backers really only rely on Indiana not showing up in this game. There is no other logic to take them IMO.

    From TSN:

    "Danny Granger, in his
third game back after missing the start of the season with a balky knee,
contributed 12 points, two boards and an assist. Granger had to visit the
hospital Wednesday to have an injured middle finger on his right hand drained
    because of an infection."

Where's Danny been sticking the middle appendage to draw infection?

I agree they're a good team & don't seem to need Granger to win. Indy's seaon numbers are w/o Granger so before pulling trigger on the under I'd personally like to make sure he's out.

Raptors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
Raptors are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points.
Pacers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
Pacers are 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Toronto.

the last 6 meetings have been decided by 5 or less points.

I will admit though, the more I like the Raptors here the more I must admit something has to give. I am by no stretch implying T.O is the better team.

Good point, but again I think the odds makers have already adjusted the line to meet this. It's a matter of choosing the right side of the coin.
