i'll echo support for using Skrill=Moneybookers to move $ around efficiently and without charge...AND magnify the concern about currency conversions...they are larcenous and will erode your equity...to avoid/greatly minimize this you need only configure things so that as many (=ALL is clearly the best) of your books as possible use the SAME CURRENCY AS your Skrill account...it may take some gymnastics and a few days "down time" with each book that you might need to re-boot at with the standardized currency but CS at any book worth having will help get it done fairly smoothly...no need to do them all at once...just start with getting one out-of-currency-sync book re-booted to match your Skrill account...then repeat with another...as you synchronize currencies across your stable of books to match your Skrill accounting is SO much easier AND service charges will shrink

before you do so, think clearly about what currency you'd like to make your base currency...whatever your country of residence, it might make sense to use USD because, despite the fact that most good books will/can not allow accounts to US-residents, the USD has emerged as the clear financial "lingua franca" among online gambling houses and books...i'm NOT a US-resident but all my sportsbook-/casino-accounts are denominated in USD, and so is my Skrill...so all $-movements within my business are fast and free...and the only time i need to deal with any fx-fees is between your own bank and Skrill itself (and if you're allowed to keep a USD-based account at your bank...even that source of fees may be eliminated)...

nobody told me any of this previously, and at one time i had 3 different e-wallets (for USD/EUR/GBP) and a mish-mash of books/houses each using one of these...major league headaches ensue because the different wallets (Skrill/Neteller/etc. will NOT transfer fees among each other and you end up with funds where u don't need/can't use them in currencies you don't need/can't use and you're forced into yet another costly conversion)....I now, after many months/years of muddling along into somethin less awkward have MANY BOOKS and ONE WALLET and ALL (with one small-but-worthwhile exception) USING THE SAME CURRENCY...infinitely better

it's so much better to decide on ONE CURRENCY to use for everything (and you should at least consider the possibility that USD might be the best one for you even if you--like me--are not an American)...consider the books you use now AND books you may want to add to your stable down the line and what currencies they operate in...apart from a handful of EUR-only/AUD-only books there are very few books that do not offer USD as one of the options, so in general it provides the prospect of setting up the most seamless set of pipelines for all your current and future fund transfers

long-term, do not under-estimate the importance of having lots of line-shopping options (those "few points" applied to each and every play make a huge difference over seasons & years) and of avoiding the equity-evaporation that occurs each and every time you move between accounts denominated in different currencies...so i'd suggest choosing ONE currency and gradually STREAMLINE all your accounts into that standard (some exceptions are ok IF the benefit of having that book outweighs the occasional fees necessitated by its being out of sync with your e-wallet...for example i have no choice at SIA but CAD...but having access to their super-square pricing makes it worth losing a few bills on withdrawal)

if you're serious about making money you gotta avoid unnecessary $-give-aways (both by having to accept shitty prices cuz you don't have enough outs...and by continually having to accept shitty-fx-conversion rates when you move money around simply cuz ur books and wallet(s) don't line up)

atleast at first that is defiently a smart strategy. im going to look more into this.

i feel as if when a marquee player (not even many that compare to kobe) comes back the team kind of loses that cohesiveness.

    plus

lakers have always been a public team when kobe plays...especially primetime games........they will be overvalued

sando i know ur a laker guy is this a good outlook?

TGM! I was surprised you hadn't made an appearance in the World Cup thread mate. Anyway tonight is a tough one. Logic and stats tells me the books finally nailed a line and that the -14 is spot on, however my gut instinct says the Samoans will pull away late and cover the line. Real tough one to pick. Also think the total is spot on at 46.5 (I graded it at 44-46 as well). Was flirting with playing the Samoan team total over 30.5, but the Kumuls really can get nasty and physical in defence for extended periods. Really want to make a play but will probably stay disciplined and just sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

Great hit on Gasol last night. I also was on the points over 16.5 and he gets 16 on 18 shots... still can't believe it. I could almost bet Gasol is not going to get less than 17 again with at least 18 shots all season. Oh well.

    Nice card today I think.

    You penetrating child.

Do you even know the Lakers record when he plays?

You're acting as if the lines won't adjust when he returns. Suddenly he comes back and they start covering at a high rate? No chance.

No one said the Lakers will be a worse team when he comes back or they won't win games.

    NBA Monday

    GS @ Philly
    2* Warriors 1st Half -3.5 (-105/$1.95 Pinnacle)
    1* Warriors -6.5 (-102/$1.98 Sportsbet/IAS)

(I think I might possibly be the only person on SBR today who doesn't like Philly ATS)

Another play to follow in a bit...

really love your first half bet. bit worried about some magical nonsense where the crowd is going nuts forcing a back door cover though.

    You are not.

Warriors team that hits lots of 3s against one that doesn't now how to defende, that WILL be alert to the Sixers and that can match-up with them by putting Curry on Anderson and Iggy and Thompson on MCW and Turner, plus I love thadeus young but David Lee should eat him alive on offense. And I expect big things from Curry as well who won't like being outplayed by the rookie. Loving the Warriors here.

You still don't get it. I never said they weren't going to be competitive. ATS = against the spread in case you don't know. Lakers are usually the last game on the day's card. They get inflated lines all season because degens and joe public keep betting on them. If they build a good record by the time Kobe comes back what do you think is going to happen?

Really hard to see it other way here really. I don't like to do this "bragging" stuff but this is one of the easiest plays we will get all year in my opinion, honestly. Only reason I didn't triple dime the shit out of this was because its so early in te season. Still glad I tailed you sando on the 1st half 'cause I can never do half plays for myself.

Yeah I haven't really eased myself into the season like I was planning to, however... ten of them have been 2nd half plays, couple of props as well, couple of situational plays. Anyway you know I'm a high volume bettor and if you (or anyone) had put in the amount of pre season work that I had then you would have been feeling pretty confident as well.
