that foul he took after that jump ball with more then enough time to defend and try for a legit chance to tie was as bad of a play as you can get.

that just trumps everything else he did well throughout the game.

Thank god he was playing with his heart and leaving his brain on the bench.

Helluva game by him though...I'd still take Lebron/Durant over him any day of the week, don't care how big his heart is. Shane Battier got a bigger heart than them all, heart only gets you so far, gotta have some brains to back up your play.

Is that why Shane Battier is always on the ground ?

He's a weird feller...He's on the ground flopping or taking charges just as much as he's on his feet...Battier is the type of player that every NBA prospect should be watching...Never complains and gives 110% every time he's on the court, while he may not have the skill of a daquean cook or a tyrus thomas, he gives it his all and that's why he's on the court!

I guess when your team is at home watching the games on TV just like you, you have nothing better to do than make fun of the guys good enough to still be playing.

Kraken -Onlooker is a Heat fan.
Gates- Battier is a poor mans Bruce Bowen. I mean that as a compliment. He is having on of the best three point shooting finals that i can remember, he also plays amazing defense. The flopping kinda hurts his image, but i like the guy. I am glad to see him get a ring

They had a huddle before that jump ball. If the coach didn't tell the players very clearly about the shot clock situation and not to foul then that's on the coach. It's the coach's job to point things like that out.

Never cared for the guy, but he does give it his all every time, and you hardly see him ever glare or complain at the refs, which is very rare in this league of pre-madonnas. Gotta respect that.

Him and Bruce Bowen are about the same...Both out there strictly to play defense and knock down open 3's, Bowen gets the edge of course.
