    He's a work in progress, there are many flaws there, such as turnovers, he can't handle back court pressure bringing the ball up.
    He's got heart, he has the potential to become a quality player, but he's not one yet.

    D'antoni is a huge part of the problem. His system is a losing system. About as much as Melo is a losing player. Those two things don't go well together. D'an never won in Phoenix with a better team. Not sure why him failing in NYC is a surprise.

    Without D'Antoni Lin would never have made that breakthrough that got everybody so excited. But then Melo came back, and the Knicks started to go down again. No doubt that Melo is the problem, but D'Antoni made a similar sudden break with Phoenix, and regretted that later. I'd say emotion got the best of him, because the Knicks were on a roll just a month ago.

    I read this article about Melo wanting to either be traded or D'Antoni gone earlier today when I was playing poker. About an hour after I did, someone said D'Antoni was gone. Whomever posted in here that this is Melo's team is right. You don't mess with CAA. I feel sorry for the guys who were playing with so much excitement and intensity when Melo was out. The players don't even look the same any more... they've gone from smiling and cheering every good play to just being duds again. I hope for the sake of Knicks fans that when the Melo era in NYC is over, they can say it was all worth it because right now it looks like a bust.

    The right coach can get this going.....D'Antoni was all smoke and mirrors. Hear the guy talk live in-game and in the locker room all the time, he never bought anything creative or effective as far as X's and O's go to the team at all.

    So is the New York Knicks job too high-profile for Mike Woodson? I mean he does bring a blue collar approach, which is something that is needed on that team. Is this his audition or is he the designated driver for the rest of the season?
