Detroit was in 04. We're in a new era right now. Pierce or KG were both in the top 10, Ray Ray was still a top 17ish player in the league.

The tide changed last year. Theres no going back to those types of Pistons teams now. It won't work.

Lakers odds to win title just went from +620 to +550 because of today's rumors. 5Dimes had them at +620 for several weeks until a few hours ago.

Bryant is consented on every big move the Lakers make. That's a fact. If Bryant doesn't agree the move isn't made.

Bulls should being working on the same trade for Howard. Make a package around Joakim Noah to Orlando

time is not on their side, either salvage now for something or it's all gone if anything we have learned from seen Lebron took off to Miami.

In a normal circumstance, Chris Paul worth at least 2 x top5 draft picks.

I'm close with someone who worked for the team up until last year. He told me otherwise. Also, don't you recall the reports of Kobe being upset for not being consented about the hiring? Mitch Kupchek even said on an am570 radio interview that it was a business decision and they didnt feel it was neccesarry to have to get Kobe's approval. I specifically remember all of this. But I could be wrong...

Other than that 1 decision I agree that Kobe has given the nod to every major decision.

Gasol's performance in the playoffs last year was inexcusable. He is now expendable for the right deal.

Bryant doesn't need Gasol to win. Gasol needs Bryant. Gasol's time is done. He doesn't deserve anymore rings. He had his moment. If Bryant wants number 6 he needs to get Howard. Miami will sweep the Lakers in a finals series with both their current rosters. I doubt LA wins even 1 game with that roster against Miami.

Artest is done. Guy is terrible. He will be a bum come playoff time.

Odom is a throw in piece, guy is 32 years old with 2 years 17 million on his contract. Really comes down to if you like Noah locked up at 5 years 60 million vs Bynum 2 years 30 million and have to go through if he signs in Orlando after that

I'm a magic fan and I would take Noah over bynum any day of the week. Noah plays with heart and doesn't get hurt every game. I like Noah's Rodman mentality!

The magic are going to suck and be completely worthless once howard leaves, but at least they will be able to dump turk's contract! Hopefully they will get rid of Arenas too.

If this continues, might as well just contract the league to 20 teams. If this happens, who would even want to watch the Hornets and the Magic?

As the last Finals proved, you can have several top 15 players on your team and still get whooped by a team that has been assembled over time and has learned to play together. A large part of basketball is team chemistry.

I don't chemistry would be an issue here. Miami made it all the way to the finals in their first year, and that's with LeBron and Wade, who are someone redundant. In this situation you have a PG, a wing, and a big. These guys are veterans and know how to play their positions. This wouldn't even be close if they got both those guys.

Anyways, I think if they trade Bynum + fillers for Howard and trade Gasol + Odom for Paul and Okafor, that would be nuts.

    are you guys forgetting something???

Dallas played the series of their lives against heat and heat played horrific

If they played again heat would win 4-1 so no one could beat Miami

Bulls in the mix for Howard too. Probably Noah and Deng for Howard or Boozer and Noah.

The Lakers look ready to make a power move. The teams starting line up is aging, and with Mike Brown as the new head coach, Jerry Buss won't leave anything to chance.

If you thought the Paul Gasol trade was HUGE, watch what happens!

You need one superstar, but you need chemistry more than anything. Dallas beat Miami last year because Miami couldn't fill out their roster with the right guys, that's why the Knicks will go absolutely nowhere in the next three years. There's no way the Knicks will ever have the money or the right players to work with the guys they have now.

I agree he's overrated. With a league void of big men, his teams don't do nearly as much as they should.

these deals are going to be done simply cause howard and paul have the leverage since they will be free agents after the season.

they can dictate where they will get traded since no team will want them if they refuse to sign an extension. and they have no choice but to trade them since they will lose them anyways and get nothing in return.

lakers end up with deron and howard or paul and howard.

    lakers got dis baby.

exciting times to be a lakers fan.

If the Bulls gets another scorer and a good SG, I can't see the Heats getting past them. But if Lakers get this deal done, it wil be interestin to see a Lakers vs Heat final.
