mayo had a pretty rough year in 10-11. he was suspended for getting into a fight with tony allen on a plane over a card game, he was suspended again for testing positive for some streoid which he blamed on an energy drink/over the counter supplement, and his dad was jailed in december for hitting a cop (i believe on foot) with his car. he was then on the block yet again (grizz tried to trade him for monte ellis at the end of the 09-10 season but the warriors pulled out at the last minute) and was traded for josh mcroberts but techincally the deal didn't go through due to barely missing the trade deadline. he still showed up in the playoffs and hit some big shots and averaged 11.8 points in the postseason and was always an offensive threat when he was on the court. he ended up being a good story last year. though you can say some of his trials and tribulations were his own doing, he still showed up when it mattered most for a team who clearly doesn't want to keep him, which doesn't happen often in the nba.

They guy may be great, but he's himself.
There is no next Jordan. Just like there hasn't been a next Pele, Gretzky, Walter Payton, etc. etc. There have been some incredible players in each sport, but so many new players come around and it turns out there are a lot of great ones, but each in his own way.
