Vegas city should have gotten someone with a clue to negotiate the deal so this never could have happened. Or at least was known and understood well in advance.

Agreed. I don’t know much about F1 but know it’s quite expensive to attend. F1 bought a huge plot of land on Koval/Harmon at a sweetheart deal and are building out stands, pits, their own suites, etc… it looks pretty cool. The clubs/casinos all want a piece of the action but yes- someone with a clue should have been involved. I wonder how this ends.

These hotels will make a killing for sure. The outrageous packages they are sending out are numbers that make zero sense but someone will fork over the cash. F1 should ask for something. Even if they ask for $2.5 million each and land on $500k it’s pure profit. The hotels are setting up packages for every inch of Vegas BLVD viewing.

F1 to me is exciting because of the tracks they race on. NASCAR and circle track harder for me to get excited about. F1 has some really cool tracks/venues. Either way- I’m a very passive viewer who tunes in for certain races and doesn’t watch/follow overall. This should be a fun race at night.

I think they both are fukked on this deal honestly. Lots of money being spent to pave roads, stands, F1 virtually handed casino property to develop for pit stops, etc… there’s most likely some back room deal here that a few parties are just getting wind of. Stay tuned.

F1 is footing the bill with approval from the county public works dept. But deals were made, not all of them really publicly known and I do know that it's an $80 million dollar project and there are some kind of, or rumored to be some kind of, negotiations whereby F1 was seeking $40 million from from Clark County.

F1 tryna get Clark County to foot half the bill.

These issues have not been settled, to my knowledge. Clark county doesn't have the money. But since they are permanent road upgrades and improvements, something will be paid.

Many are shocked and pissed at all this and there is legit concern that casinos will be passing any invoked costs on to the customer.

And yes, rooftops and balconies are free and will be packed...lol...the expect 300,000 in attendance, I believe.
