RECAP 2-2 Friday (1-2 MLB, 1-0 CFL)

Been making bets at Bovada now for six weeks and had a fair share of winners so thought I would entertain you with some too.

MLB
Arizona/San Diego Under 7.5 10:10pm: I know taking the under at 7.5 is very scary but Tyron Ross for San Diego is a very underrated pitcher, he has lost a ton of one run games, well documented if you follow the comments everyday. But that’s the least of San Diego’s concerns as they face Patrick Corbin. When San Diego faces southpaws, it’s a terrible combo ladies and gentlemen. They hit .217 against LHP starters this year too. Arizona isn’t that much better on the road (.226) but somehow they are 30-23 on the road this year. Too close to call on the side but I think the total is pretty solid.

MLS
DC United (1) vs. Colorado 8pm: DC United even though they’re one of the bottom feeders in the MLS again this year has started to turn the corner lately, winning against Vancouver, drawing vs. LA Galaxy, Toronto and losing by 1 vs. New England and NY Red Bulls. Wayne Rooney’s signing from Man United will get fans pumped up and more fans in the stands. Colorado is even more terrible than their opponent giving up 3 more goals this year and lost/drew 10 out of their 11 games. The Rapids also have to fly cross country after a 2-2 game vs. RSL earlier in the week.

Real Salt Lake/San Jose Over 3 10:30pm: These two teams have combined to give up 79 goals this year. One is in 6th spot somehow in the west and one is in last place. San Jose had to play on Wednesday (another loss 1-0 SEA) so their bad defense will get worse believe it or not and Real Salt Lake gave up 12 goals in their last 6 matches. The real factor in this pick is RSL’s offense, even though their defensive play is far below average, they have firepower and will use it later this evening.

CFL
Ottawa/Hamilton Over 55.5 4pm: Two over the air quarterbacks in Trevor Harris and Jeremiah Masoil, it's good news for Ottawa's offense that they don't play Calgary this week or at least until November. Excluding their games against the league leading Stampeders, they scored 37, 28 and 29 PPG. Hamilton after losing both ends to Saskatchewan will be motivated to take the number 1 seed in the eastern conference against the rival. Neither defense has been that great (only two times out of ten have either team gave up less than 20 points)

Calgary 6.5 vs. Saskatchewan 9pm: And speaking of the #1 team in the CFL, catch them here as they take on a hungry Roughriders team. Remember Saskatchewan beat Calgary at home last year in a major part to Kevin Glenn's mobility so as hungry as CGY already is, they'll get up to outlast another rival. Calgary's defense is unstoppable right now, giving up an average of 9.2 PPG in 5 games in this campaign when scoring 28.3 PPG.

AFL (Aussie Rules)
Fremantle +15.5 vs. Hawthorn 2:40am Sunday: Took the Dockers the last two games and cashed out both times, why not a 3rd time? Even though their playoff hopes are long past, Fremantle has turned the corner lately winning 3 out of their last 6 games and been more competitive throughout the contest. Going back home across the country helps for the motivation factor and with Hawthorn highly fluid week by week, I'm taking one of the hotter trends in Aussie Rules.
