U.S. Open Golf Bets - Got 2 Good Ones For Ya!

    Boyz,

Lee Westwood is that guy who is consistently ranked in the Top-5 golfers of the world, yet has accomplished very little over here in the U.S. Head to head against Tiger Woods he is listed as -110, while Tiger is -120. Puh-leeze! Tiger should be -180 at least. Lay it with Eldrick, who is coming in fresh off a fantastic win in his last tourney, the Memorial.

Speaking of the Memorial, Phil Michelson was so rattled about spectators using camera phones that he called the PGA Tour commissioner and complained......from the golf course! What I think he was actually rattled about was shooting a 79. Then uncharacteristically he withdrew from the tourney, insulting host Jack Nicklaus. Something is wrong in Phil-ville. With that in mind I will gladly lay a very short -115 with Dustin Johnson in a head to head matchup. DJ took a 6 week layoff to nurse an injury, then returned and won his first outing back (last week) in Memphis. This is the same guy who already should've won a US Open at Whistling Straights (a gimmicky Pete Dye course design did him in.) Go with the hot hand. Lay it with Dustin Johnson.

    As always, best of luck,
    Harry

Uncovered two more seemingly solid plays.......

Kyle Stanley ranks 16th on the Tour in Total Driving, 7th in distance and 102nd in accuracy. Somehow he is +120 against Charles Howell III, who trails him in all three crucial (to the US Open anyway) categories. Howell is 107th in Total Driving, 32nd in distance and a pathetic 158 in accuracy. This one is easy. Take Stanley +120.

Aaron Baddeley is a terrible 151st in total driving. Vijay Singh ranks 27th. Vijay has the pedigree and is only a small favorite (-125) in this head to head matchup. Singh drives the ball further (39th vs 75th) and is significantly better at finding the fairway (86th vs 160th). You have to keep it in play on any Open course, but particularly the winding and hilly Olympic GC. Baddeley is in for a long week. Lay it with Vijay.

BTW, the odds are all from Bookmaker.

Wind is gonna be ripping at this thing. Kyle Stanley has one of the highest shots in the air on tour vs CH3 being a low ball hitter while still managing to drive it over 290. Stanley isn't the most accurate guy off the tee either but some reports say the rough isn't really all that ridiculous but they look so narrow and tilting the opposite ways of the doglegs that they were gonna be hard enough to hit as it is. CH3 also crushes him in putting and is about a good 2-3 ft better on average at his scrambling proximity shots. This might be the one tourney where I take a mediocre ball striker and above average short game guy over a great ball striker. Kind of makes it easy when Stanley sucks so bad at everything else and has struggled at all of the hardest tournaments he's played this year

    GM,
Lowball hitter or not, Thurston III is not hitting fairways. That ain't good at Olympic.
