    Breeder's Cup

Casual fan here. Asking for some help/quidance for some simple (non exotic) wagers. Just looking for entertainment value, but of course if I made a few bucks that wouldnt be bad either.

Honor Code/Code of Honor a decent play?

Thanks LK. Will you be doing a NCAAB thread this year. I've had a few challenging years so been offline a lot. Looking forward to more time to re-engage. BOL.

The Classic field, with confirmed riders, is Code of Honor (John Velazquez up), Elate (Jose Ortiz), Higher Power (Flavien Prat), Math Wizard, McKinzie (Joel Rosario), Mongolian Groom (Abel Cedillo), Owendale (Javier Castellano), Seeking the Soul (Brian Hernandez Jr.), Vino Rosso (Irad Ortiz Jr.), War of Will (Tyler Gaffalione), and Yoshida (Mike Smith).

yikes could easily be a grade 3 race IMO...worst cast in many many years or maybe ever.....First glance Higher Power, Yoshida, Elate the mare and Code of honor are of interest to me in horizontal's

the pace will also be interesting here with no real grade 1 front runners and most all field closer type

LK, I was wondering what you thought about them holding BC at SA despite all the controversy at the track.

I was pretty sure they might try and schedule it somewhere else when the numbers got near 30 this summer. I think SA one of, if not the best track in US, but obviously they had some kind of problem this year. I don’t believe those kind of death tolls are a coincidence.

You think they didn’t move it because it would have been a logistics nightmare? I’d just hate to see one or more of the best horses in the world add to the troubling numbers at SA this year. It would be pretty bad for the sport.

Just wondering if you had a take. Thanks

I think the track is fine and as safe as any...I think the problem is more the trainers like hollendorfer, Martin ect.. who use drugs to mask injuries and then horses break down that where not sound to begin with.....the only other issue i do have is the 6.5 turf course and the dirt crossing can be dangerous
