    6 point contest. for everyone
Place a $2 W/P bet on every race along with a best bet pick that will be double.Post alternate in case of scratches. If both picks scratch you get the post time fave. Coupled entries, if you do not make it clear you only want one part of entry then you get them both ex 1,1a would be for 1,1a only 1e would be for both 1,1a. All plays must be posted before off time of 1st race. Everyone that is participating in the horse contest will be invited to a sports contest. You must join the sports contest to put your points in the pool. Do not make a sports contest pick. REPEAT DO NOT MAKE A SPORTS CONTEST PICK

Playing the races appears to be the one business in which men believe they can succeed without
special study, special talent, or special exertion. it is a very hard way to make an easy living.

I especially study all the different sheets on different sites, I'm beginning to have a special talent for having 12 pages open at a time on my computer of different sites, my mind is especially exerted from picking horses, so what am I doing wrong...lol.

you might be playing to many races, stay away from 2 yr olds and maiden races where there are a lot of first time starters, 2 and 3 yr olds can improve over night, only play these for fun wagering less or pass these races all together. stick to what works no matter if you go several races without cashing. most players (gamblers) mess up and start thinking they are doing something wrong and then start looking for things that are not there. when you go for a period without cashing this is proly due to racing conditions or the prevailing conditions (chaos in the race) stay away from races that offer no value. a odds on favorite or less and another heavy chalk that look tuff and you know both will proly be in the tri pass the race unless it is in the sequence of the pks 3,4,5,6. most the time pass small fields. You can still make money with the chalk if you get sometihng long underneath so if there is heavy chalk and the rest are high odds this is playable esp if the chalk is vulnerable. look at what pools you want to play in to make a buck. wager more on some and wager less on others. make a watch list from watching replays. get to know trainers and jocks. knowing trainer intent is good, a trainer stretching a horse out may only be looking for the next race using this one as a tightner. make note of cheaters or possible cheaters, a horse that improves by a lot of lengths esp 4 yr old and up proly had some help.

Thanks Tony, I was just kidding on your note up above. I don't play for money at all. I just play for fun and like to learn about the horses. It's challenging and it's just addictive fun. I can watch the horses all day, not interested in much TV whatsover besides my RTN channel.

I strongly disagree with everyone knocking maiden races with a lot of first time starters.I think these are one of the best conditions to score a big payout with a win bet because there is no form for the public to zero in on.So they use workouts as a substitute and that is very misleading. When horses win first or second time out its usually because of breeding and their trainer, anyone can make a horse work fast. Its an angle players race and there is a ton of information out there to find out which sires win early or what a trainer does best to get the maiden breaker.

An example is K McLaughlin, if he has a horse run poorly in 1 or 2 dirt sprints and then moves them to the turf...look out.Plus most times they will be nice odds because their form looks bad from dirt but they were turf meant the whole time.

An example of trainers working their horses is Baffert. He ALWAYS works his horses fast so if one of his horses isn't working bullets then its a toss. That's usually the best way to go with Baffert is bet against his suspect horses since you will hardly ever get a good price. On the other side is Assmussen , he doesn't let his horses run that fast in works so if you see one of his working 23 of 24 I wouldn't make that big a deal of it.

For sires Successful Appeal,Wildcat Heir,Speightstown,Dehere,Tale Of The Cat, and Distorted Humor are all very good established 1st time out sires but it pays to stay up to date and know which first or second crop sires that are hitting before the public catches on.Like Hard Spun is off to a flying start and Safe In The USA/ Sharp Humor just to name a few.Plus usually when those established win early sires have an offspring that is coming out with its first crop ,they will pass on the gene.If the sire and Dam both won first out then there is a good chance a high percentage of their foals will.

For turf you can catch BIG prices when a Freud,Leroidesanimaux,Artie Schiller,Kittens Joy and Smarty Jones make their turf debuts. There are many others also but those are off the top of my head.

They have the up to date leading sire lists on Bloodhorse

I think Animal Kingdom was more an exception than the rule.Leroidesanimaux hits around 21% on turf and about half that on dirt.We are going to see a lot of Hard Spuns coming up at Saratoga.
