    Frozen Playoffs! Drop that puck!

Finally, the real playoffs begin. There's no play-in tournament here. There's simply 16 families battling for the Cup. I initially had Rangers winning it all but switching it to the North! The North remembers and picking Jets to hoist that Cup.

The first battle: Islanders v. Hurricanes -260

Nice play on Bruins. I'm a fan of them, but they will find a way to lose the series.

Day 2 of the great battle of the houses. Next up is the battle of Florida. Panthers won 2-1 in reg season. Panthers w/ Kucherov and Lightning goalie, Vasievskiy, not playing well against Panthers, gotta take Panthers @ home.

Ofc going w/ Rangers but this series might go 6 or even 7 games. Capitals plays tough at home, but luckily Rangers got home ice. Under 5.5 should hit but waiting to see how the series plays out before dropping on the under.

    Capitals v. Rangers (-261)

Damn! How are you going have an empty net w/ 3 mins to go? 2-1 Panthers, I should've done the puck line.

I talked to the Red Woman and looked into the flames and saw the future of the Avalanche v. Jets series. Jets are on hot streak of winning 8 games straight. They swept the Avs in reg season. It should be a series sweep but Jets will let their guards down and "cool their jets" in Colorado for G3. Series sequence: W-W-L-W-W...

    Avalanche v. Jets (-112)

Have not found one thing yet in NHL to wager. The close dogs are not yielding close to enough value. The 1 run advantage on totals have vanished. Seems like home field advantage would be the way, but I will be staying away.

Freezing Monday that has two G2 and two G1. To start it off, the G2's are up. No reason for "home sweet home" to stop bringing in the wins. Let's see if it continues...

    Maple Leaf v. Bruins (-140)

    Islanders v. Hurricanes (-240)

    Kings v. Oilers -177

    04/22: 2-2 (-0.85)
    Playoffs: 8-2 (+5.15)

Got a little cold yesterday. Hopefully, we'll warm it up some with four G2's matchups for tonight.

G1 Capitals had only 21 shots, that's not going to win a playoff game. There's nothing showing me that Capitals will improve in G2. Rangers will clobber them again and take 2-0 lead.

    Capitals v. Rangers -1.5 (-105) & u5.5 (-115)

Panthers have won 5 straight games and 5-1 L6 v. Lightning. They also won 6 straight at home. Everything points to Panthers. Lightning just need to wait for G3.

    Lightning v. Panthers -170 & u5.5 (+112)

Nothing needs to be said other than J-E-T-S...

    Avalanche v. JETS +109

And the last game is up for grabs, but matter stay with home until...

    Predators v. Canucks -119

So much talent is apparently on the ice with these two teams in OT. The passing and skating is spectacular. To say nothing of the goaltending. Very enjoyable game aside from gambling.

The Stanley Cup began this past weekend! The contenders in the Eastern Conference are flexing their muscles, with powerhouses like the Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, and New York Rangers leading the charge. The Hurricanes are tearing up the playoffs, already building a 2-0 series lead against the New York Islanders. They even clawed back from a 3-0 deficit to snatch victory in Game 2 on Monday night. The intensity is palpable. Who's going to lift that coveted Cup in the end?

Actually it was Lightning in the first game , but it doesn’t matter as I still got the wrong team. Oh yeah, I deserve to lose both games.

    More info on Hurricanes/Islanders G4:

Four teams in the history of the Stanley Cup Playoffs have won a best-of-7 series after losing the first three games. That’s the task before the Islanders now, and it begins here in Game 4 on Saturday. Islanders switched goalie in Game 3 to starting Ilya Sorokin and sitting Semyon Varlamov, who allowed six goals in the first two games, each a loss on the road.

It didn’t work, and the Islanders lost 3-2 at UBS Arena, falling into a 3-0 hole in the best-of-7 series.

Well, today is Sorokin’s birthday. So Islanders may rally around the goalie, though I don’t think it will be enough for a victory. But enough to make it either 2-1 or another 3-2 game. So taking the u5.5 (-115).

    Hurricanes take early lead.. 1-0

Meanwhile, development in the third game of the quadruple-header, weirdly all on TBS (and 3 of 4 NBA games on TNT), the line for Leafs is now an astonishing -128... what??? I'm getting nervous for my pick but now more hype on Bruins from BOL/SB so feeling better.

Bruins Crumpling Leafs on the Road

The Stanley Cup playoffs carry on with their first round and a Game 4 between the Boston Bruins (-101) at the Toronto Maple Leafs (-114) tonight. Toronto looks to even the series up before it heads back to Boston.

Boston is 9-1 in their last 10 games vs. Toronto. The Bruins are 5-1 in their last 6 road games and 4-1 in their last 5 when playing the Leafs in Toronto.

The current series odds are Leafs +230 and Bruins -275. Tonight’s puck drop is at 8:00 pm ET on TNT.
