NHL are a bunch of pussies

Division titles and playoff seeding are on the line and some of these teams are already locked into a position and say f\*\*k it let's rest the top 4 and the #1 goalie. That's some bs. Play hard for 80 games and take the last 2 off when other teams have a gigantic interest and their fates on the line based on the last game or two. Bunch of fvckin cowards. People have futures bets on the line and some of these teams are just planning to take the day off cause they don't give a f\*\*k. Where's the integrity, sportsmanship and respect for the game?

Nothing wrong with resting players when seeding is already locked in, teams do it all the time in all sports. As for having an effect on other teams' seedings, the teams resting players do not care, nor should they. Their #1 priority is doing what they feel is best for them to be ready for the playoffs. As it should be.

The only reason Detroit lost was cause they disallowed a goal. That proves my theory correct also cause NYR don't care enough to play the A lineup but they care enough to challenge a goal and get it overturned? Now they're a bunch of hypocrites. So what about Pittsburgh and Nashville? Pit is a big troop of cowards. Having the possibility to knock their most bitter rival out of playoffs and they rest people and lay up. Nashville is in a similar position. They could deny Dallas the division title, which is also the division they play in and are resting half their team as a #7 seed. The only people who are softer in major sports are soccer players when they dive and hold their leg for 3 minutes, then get up and sprint full speed down the pitch. No other sport besides NHL does a wildcard team rest their lineup down the stretch, not in NFL or MLB.

I dunno man. Rangers outplayed them in the 3rd. As far as sitting players, it happens in every sport every year to some degree. If you play you star in a relatively meaningless game and he gets injured, then what do you tell your fans?

Much to do about nothing imo.

I vehemently disagree with your statement. You will never see wildcard teams in other sports, MLB or NFL consistently rest their key players down the stretch like we're seeing with the NHL. Sure maybe the #1 or #2 seeds like Patriots or Cardinals do it but that's much different, they're top dogs and have huge leads. We're talking about wildcard teams, 7 seeds, just packing it up for the year a game or two early. Did Gordie Howe, Cal Ripken Jr. or Lou Gehrig ever just say f\*\*k it I'm not playing today or did they play like men? These athletes today are too pampered. They're soft and cowardly. They care more about their hair and twitter accounts than respect for the game. To further my point, the Capitals have had the #1 seed locked up for like a week and a half, two weeks, so why haven't Ovie and Holtby been resting every game until the playoffs? Why is it only the wildcard teams, NYR, Nashville etc. laying up?

Far too much traveling in Pro sports combined with lengthy seasons leads to lower quality of games. Like 5 minute "rounds" in MMA. Biggest mistake they make, yes we'd like to see who has best endurance but it usually leads to 2 exhausted guys rolling around on the ground for a less skillful contest. NBA, NHL too much travel & season too long. The worst is Baseball, greedy owners took away double headers, gotta screw the fan for parking and $16 beers. Soccer players in great shape BUT are huge oysters, Hockey is a man's game like football, but Hockey takes EXCEPTIONAL skill to reach the pros. BASKETBALL is highly overrated,... ever seen Michael Jordan hit a curve ball.? Me neither. I'd love to see most of your favorite athletes step into the ring with a Sugar Ray Leonard,... Then we can talk about MEN.
