    urgent derivative question for justin

justin i was afraid to put this elsewhere cause i hope you can see it and help. i remember you say that "2nd half derivatives are most vulernable to attack", but if that is so, how come sites have such high limits on 2nd half betting?

Because his statement, if he made it, is incorrect.

Probably because of all the money donated by squares who are not attacking properly.

mr ed that cant be, for example pinnacle sets its own CORRECT lines and does not make bad lines to capitalize on fish.

The limits for the underlying game are a factor in the h2 limits.

justin i dont think that logic holds an an explanation cause for NCAAF the limits for the underlying game are real big, and they have big 2nd half limits, but their 1stq and 1st half lines are comparatively much smaller!

Yes. And given that, you would expect the q1 and h1 derivatives to be more accurately priced than h2. They are not. The hold on attacking h2 derivatives (if you do it correctly) is much higher than q1/h1 stuff. It's a lot more work to price h2 stuff correctly, and ALL books make common mistakes, including Pinnacle Bookmaker and Greek. If you have a monster database and know how to do the analysis, it is a goldmine.

5 years, with more than just lines and box scores.

You can create an h2 chart with just scores and lines. You can create a better one with that, plus halftime stats.

This is old, 2002, so it may be outdated. Then again, linesmakers might be too lazy to change. Guy claims to be a linemaker at an offshore book and discusses how half time lines are set. Worth reading if you are looking at half time bets.
