1) What is the Pinny line and where did it originate from?

I have learned the importance of beating this line, etc, but where do you go to find it?

2) Is there anywhere you can find out what "fair lines" are.

For example, if a book lists a favorite at -125, what would the appropriate "+" number be?

He's saying that YOU must do some legwork. Think of it like a college course. You must read your text and do your homework BEFORE you can ask questions. Then rinse and repeat. He is saying that you are just asking questions and not looking around first. If you sort ALL think tank posts by responses that's a good place to start.

Professor the pinny line comes from their book. People like to think of it as the closet "true" line for sports because of their sheer volume. You can also check out their limits to get an idea of their risk management and further realize how serious they are about some of the lines they post.

1. pinnaclesports.com, a respected sportsbook known for being tough to beat despite low commission

2. It's the midpoint of the two lines pinny offers on a given game. If pinnie offers +110/-120 the fair line is +115/-115. It is the line pinn would choose if it decided not to charge commission.

No-vig line is only the midpoint if no-vig line is +100. Otherwise, there is computation involved.
