The 77th-annual Orange Bowl will take place tonight as the ACC champion Virginia Tech Hokies meet the Stanford Cardinals in Miami Florida. The over/under is currently set for 59 points. The under is the play tonight.

What makes these two teams legitimate top-10 teams is the fact that both defenses have played strong as well as the offenses.

Stanford finished the year allowing 17.8 ppg. and we saw many big plays with 29 forced turnovers and 28 sacks by the defense.

The Hokie defense is not as feared as in past years and they made plays during the important games this year. The Hokie team allowed just 19.1 ppg. although struggling against the run (148.9 ypg, 4.5 ypc). The secondary led the way to 22 interceptions. The defense finished with 33 sacks.

Both defenses have allowed just three overs combined during the last ten games to end the season when the O/U line was at 49 or more points.

The offenses are very disciplined with balanced rushing and passing and neither team turns the ball over with fumbles or interceptions.

This is the first-ever meeting between these two teams. Both coaches will play this game close to the vest with running the ball, short passing and a chess match defensive game.

The quarter back play on both sides will be exciting during this game and look for the defenses to dictate the winner in this low scoring affair. Play the UNDER.
