Temple +3 has to be a trap

i cant understand how temple is an underdog here. This has to be a trap, any thoughts

Northern illinois has out rushed their opponents in the last 2 weeks by margins of 287-99 and 228-129...and covered both 20+ spreads

Both of these teams were predicted to win their MAC divisions, respectively, in the preseason coaches poll. That being said, N. Ill is coming off a road thumping of Akron and Temple is coming off a road scare at Army. Army was able to move the ball at will on Temple and N. Ill had their way with Akron. I think this will be a close game into the fourth quarter. GL if you choose to play -Giovanni

Akron last week and Minnesota the week before. I'm not saying you can back them based on play against a weak(er) Akron D just grabbing the stats.

I think Temple is the stronger team but they barely snuck by Army last week while Northern Illinois rolled Akron.

probably because temple #1 rb is injured and a freshman (who had a great game vs army over 200 yds) will start on the road, that's why the line is -3 for no illinois

Northern Illinois has covered it's last 3 games, all on the road. This is a typical line for a MAC game, where home teams tend to do well. I grabbed Temple +4 earlier, because I think they have a huge coaching advantage. AS far as this game being a "trap", it most certainly is not.
