    Auburn vs. Houston Discussion

Auburn has some transfers. Only concern to me would be Nix and OG Manning. Finley could fill in well for Nix. Don't see a problem there. Big losses for Auburn are C Brahms, RT Hamm on the OFF along with Manning. The D is without their leading tackler in LB McClain (draft), and star corner McCreary (draft). The O-line losses hurt but so will the 2 best defensive players. They are also without their OC for this game.

Houston, it appears, is also without a star corner in Marcus Jones (draft) and he returns kicks as well.

While I can't tell you the formula I used, I will set the line @ Houston -1 for this game. Opener in Vegas at a few shops was Auburn -3.5 and has moved to Auburn -2.

EDIT: I would make the total about 60 (revised from 56 a few minutes ago). Some shops opened it at 52 and now moved down to 51.

    Thoughts?

Auburn reminds me of Nevada yesterday with players out and coaches gone. With Auburn it isn’t the head coach but OC, they have also have 7 players out. Houston +2

Auburn doesn’t care at all about this game. Lots of personnel out and coaches have moved on. This is a grab the check for the university game. I think it’s Houston or no play. Probably be a sloppy game either way. This is the Cougars shot at a SEC squad and they are talented and Holgerson can coach a bit. An audition of sorts for the Big 12. Only angle I see on Auburn is playing in Birmingham for a Bowl but shit, they barely played all year in Auburn. What’s changed? Tread lightly. These bowls might be as ugly as the other sports are right now.

I kind of disagree. They've lost 4 in a row I think and nobody wants to close on a huge losing streak. Auburn usually doesn't give a shit in these bowls, but remember when they put up 35 or whatever on Purdue in the 1H a few years ago?

That being said I'm on Houston small. MGM has a prop Houston ML both teams score 10+ (+120) so I have that and some parlays. Clayton Tune is a pretty good dual-threat QB and Houston has to be insulted being a 11-2 dog vs a 6-6 team

Off to the Sportsbook boys!! GL today!!

My big play is the next one Air Force/Louisville Over 54.5 (bought to 52.5)

Louisville is back to their normal tricks of shitty tackling/discipline with Kentucky hanging 52 on them with 350 rushing. Add to that Cunningham is the best player in the game w/37 total TDs. This has atleast 34-27 or 37-30 written all over it imo

Had to add another $100 on Houston. MGM has Houston ML both teams 10+ (+120) Nobody scores less then 10 in cfb anymore? Clayton Tune will bring it home. He's NFL bound imo. Public burial potential though....don't know anyone on Auburn? Nobody

Dana Holgorsen is 2-6 in Bowl games.

Auburn is playing a sell out home game in Birmigham only 2 hrs from Auburn.

I like Auburn in this game. The defense will force turnovers to win the game.

Houston is a pretty good team. Auburn, new coach, lost 4 down the stretch. They just want the season over with…

Houston gets to play a sec team and gets to whoop them.

    Houston 31
    Auburn 17

Good points. Fair, losing 5 in a row would really be a horrific ending to the first season for Harsin and Auburn. Maybe more of a must win in their mind but I do think Houston will be more motivated. This is their shot at a SEC squad and that should be motivating in itself. Houston was a bad 3rd Q away from beating Cincinnati. I like that prop bet. Unfortunately, in Las Vegas we don’t get a whole lot of prop bets like that in app. Cheers.

According to Sagarin Auburn played the 2nd toughest schedule..... 7 teams in the top 30.
Houston #111....1 team in top 30.

Finley has been fine this year, he's gotten plenty of playing time.

AF might have problems stopping Cunningham in that one. Was going to do a write-up for that game but have to watch this game right now.
