Helicopters drying field at Bryant-Denny ahead of Alabama-Auburn

The field in Tuscaloosa was in rough shape just a week earlier when Alabama hosted The Citadel, causing several players to lose footing and slip. On Wednesday, coach Nick Saban said there was a plan in place to improve the conditions.
It rained across much of central Alabama on Friday night, soaking the field further.
"I'm sure they'll do everything they can," Saban said. "But I also think that players have to learn how to play on those conditions. I played on a lot worse fields than that."

This helps Auburn. Take the points and under. It will neutralize Bama's speed.

Why not just get a proper drainage system.

Slower field makes it easier for defensive backs who are trying to stay w receivers who are sprinting trying to get open.

NFL game that can bring 10's of millions to the local economy (last year was 43 million) in Mexico and with all the notice they couldn't get the field ready (sort of sounds like a bullshit story) gets cancelled while Alabama gets a helicopter.

A helicopter for the grounds crew!

    Un-fukkin-real.

For those who couldn't think a NFL crew couldn't get that stadium ready in more then a week is kidding themselves.
