I'm finding it tough to find a lot of games to even lean this week, but I absolutely love Georgia Southern -12.
- South Alabama is 120th in FBS in rushing defense. They just lost 4 of their best defensive players this week to injury and have a couple others ? to play and 1 kid can't play in the 1st half b/c of targeting last game.
- South Alabama is 2nd worst in FBS in penalties; GeoSou is 6th best in the nation
- South Alabama's strong suit is creating turnovers, 9 int's and 2 fumble recoveries. That don't mean a lot against a team that throws the ball 3 times a game at the most.
- Georgia Southern was 2-10 last year. One of their wins was against South Alabama. Score was 52-0.
The only thing that sort of worries me is that the South Alabama coach (Steve Campbell) ran a triple option offense at Central Arkansas, so he would know how to counter it. But with all those injuries on D, they probably won't be able to stop it even if they know what's coming.
