    Bobby Petrino to Louisville

Nothing official but looks like he will be announced either tomorrow or Thursday. Also looks like Randy Shannon (former Miami coach) will become defensive coordinator.

I guess being left at the alter wasn't embarrassing enough the first time. Louisville has extreme self esteem issues if it lets Petrino fly over the city let alone coach its team with his eye on a better job again.

Guy is a good coach just don't let him hire any student-athlete coordinators.

Louisville doesn't need two man whores coaching the money generating teams? No one would send their coed daughters to Louisville anymore. End of UL civilization as we know it.

Certainly an interesting possibility. I do not think he will get the job because it would put Louisville is a very bad light as far as the rest of the ACC is concerned. Louisville has to play with the big boys now. There are a lot of good choices out there, and what is to say that Patrino does not ake a walk as soon as another position becomes available. 4 jobs in 7 years is not a stellar record of employment.

Petrino would be an upgrade over the guy who left. He'll bring them as far as they can go!

Well the question is would Cutcliff even want to leave Duke?

they play in the same conference. I am not so sure Louisville is a better job than Duke.

If Cutcliff is able to win a national championship at Duke that would be pretty amazing.

This apparently is a done deal now. If Patrino can keep his pants zipped up, this is probably about as good as Louisville can hope to get. The question is how long will he last before he decides to jump ship again.

if the money is right Louisville is a damn good job.

i could see them potentially winning the ACC and getting into the 4 team playoff
if they can recruit another Teddy B

Louisville is far cry from Florida State, Clemson, Miami, Va. Tech, and other ACC teams. The AAC was terrible this season. Saying that Louisville can challenge IF they get another Bridgewater is like saying that Stanford can challenge IF they find another Andrew Luck. It's NOT going to happen.

Louisville would serve their football program well by taking a hard look at Mark Hudspeth, three year head coach at Louisiana-Lafayette. He's taken the Ragin' Cajuns to three 9-4 records and three bowl wins. This young coach is as solid as they come and will be moving up soon.

are you penetrating stupid? Louisville has destroyed Miami the past 10 years basically. Virginia Tech is way past its prime (if it had one). Louisville and Clemson are on the same step, a little behind FSU

    Best case scenario

Petrino goes to bcs in 3 years

    then leaves

did you not enjoy our team actually playing defense the last 4 years?
