    If nothing else, lines are based first and foremost on public perception. The VAST majority of gamblers still believe that Alabama is the better team. Put Oklahoma out there with the line locked in at -5.5 and 99.99 percent of gamblers (myself included) would jump all over Alabama. That's not what the sportsbooks want either way.

    It would still be double digits. I agree with some analysts and people that Alabama thought for a second they were probably going to roll Oklahoma when they scored a td in the first 2 minutes of the game only to find out quickly Oklahoma's Bob Stoops had different plans. The up tempo game plan and execution on offense, especially by a freshman QB who didn't look all that well this season at times leaves no doubt in my mind on who will be starting next year at Oklahoma. I can't say enough how impressive the Oklahoma wide receivers were last night as well. They were catching nearly everything. Several turnovers went Oklahoma's way that you can't really count on to happen again, if they did play next week.

    Should be Oklahoma -7, because why would 'Bama even care...I don't think the loss even affected them that much. Oklahoma would be more pumped to play again than would Bama.
