    Gypsy Conference USA

One needs a yearly score card to keep up with the frecken goings and comings in this league. Conference USA is losing teams left and right, as East Carolina, Tulane and Tulsa are gone next year. However, entering the conference this season are Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, North Texas and UTSA. Old Dominion is playing as an independent this year, but will be a part of the mix next year.

Some say Conf-USA is nothing more than a minor league for the AAC (Big East), and a step up for the Sun Belt types. It might be losing East Carolina, Tulane and Tulsa, but Arkansas State, La-Lafayette, Troy, La-Monroe and Western Kentucky seem like locks to come aboard as the league keeps adding teams to prepare for other losses.

For 2013, the East Division looks like this: Charlotte, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Marshall, MTSU, Southern Miss and UAB. The West Division will have: La-Tech, North Texas, Rice, Tulane, Tulsa, UTEP and UTSA.

    Frecken gypsy mess...............................

Maybe they should combine the two and call it the USA Mountain Conference. Have a west and east division and then a big championship game. Wishful thinking but who knows with all the movement within the conferences these days.

East Carolina and Tulsa look to be the top teams in Conference USA and Boise State and Fresno State look to be the horses in the Mountain West.

Tulsa was tough last year. LA tech did decent last year as well. Gonna be interesting to see how much more conference development wer will see in the coming years with every conference fighting for the top $$$ and TV exposure.
