No relevance to this season though.. but suggesting a team would be better off losing to not play bama is beyond ridiculous

No, last I checked Trent Richardson won't be running the ball, Julio jones won't be catching it, and AJ McCarron will still be the one throwing it.

Im use to it, a lot of people hate nd. And so many around here (south bend) have it worse off then me since the majority are cubs fans too. Its just funny to see how all year when nd beat someone it was because the team they played was overrated, and now that nd is the only one left undefeated and won against a team that beat a very good oregon team, its because college football isnt as good as the past and the teams just arent as good this year. People can bash nd from now until the end of time, as long as we are #1 no one is going to break my pride.

That's the beauty of college football.

The last 10 years mean absolutely dick.

    Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

    It's about this year.

What the hell has Texas A&M done in the last 10 years that would suggest they could go into Alabama and kick the Tide around?

    Nothing. Yet they did it.

    Talk about missing the point

Every fukking year for the last ten years we have been hearing about the sec being overrated. Then they go in to bcs games and generally blow out the fukkin competition....particularly in the ncg

Same complaining every year. Different players and sometimes different teams. Same result. Always.

Feels like Dejavu when a noisy crowd around here said ND wasn't in the same league as Oklahoma.

I do agree they dont have the same talent as the top tier SEC teams or USC for that matter. But they have shown (see ND 30 Okla 13) that they belong. If Texas A&M can beat Bama in Bama you better believe ND can in a bowl.

Unreal.... Alabama's schedule included: western Michigan, arkansas, Florida Atlantic, Tennessee, Western Carolina and Auburn, how they're ranked #2 with a loss is beyond me. Notre dame would eat through those 5 games much easier the Navy, BYU, Michigan State, perdue, etc

ND has played a tougher schedule, including a trip to Ireland to start the season, won on the road in Oklahoma, beat Stanford (Alabama's new favorite team)and is sitting at number 1 UNDEFEATED

Alabama was "lucky" to beat LSU

Most of the teams Alabama beat aren't even bowl eligible

IF they meet in the National championship game Alabama's going to struggle to score with that weak ass offense. I don't see them containing Golsen's running all game either

SEC haters are gonna hate...... thankfully the BCS computers which seem to love the SEC will be gone soon then we'll see how how many SEC teams can win the whole thing

    1st - Pick a team, not a confrence ... I LOVE the NFC ...hahahaha
2nd - there's been very few "blowouts" in the NC game

Know why Auburn sucks this year? They didn't BUY a quarterback

well first....your comment about auburn made my point...had the sec not fielded the best team in the country that year (again) then the gamecocks could have made their first BCS game...spurrier has obviously taken the program to another level but theyre still not at the level of lsu and bama (and florida in tebow days)....had they played in another conference im sure theyd have played in a bcs game by now...and when the sec pounds their competition in their bcs game (and they generally do), it's small redemption for not being good enough

as for your second point there has been one NCG since usc/texas where the loser even had a chance to win in the second half....tomato/tomahto

Notre Dame did not have the toughest schedule.

Notre Dame will make a lot of $$$$$ for the Natl Championship win or lose.

Alabama seems like the easy pick but ND is a team of destiny.

Both have had decent schedules. Both played Michigan. Many teams in the SEC were down this year, that was a big benefit for Bama. They finish with Georgia so that rounds out a solid schedule, not extraordinary hard but solid.

Same can be said of ND. They played more decent teams but only a couple of really good teams.

If they played with a week to prepare I'd give ND the edge. But give the best coach in the game today a month to prepare and i think Bama wins a squeaker. The game fools everyone and goes over.

Yea no one is! Well wait they lost yea I forgot because we were talking about how they could beat an nfl team and how no one is in their class. During all that bullshit we forgot they got beat by the SEC newbie. Bottom line is they've got a good defense and some ok rb's the curtain has dropped they're for sure beatable.
