I Like Our National Championship Contenders

Last year was frustrating as LSU was the only team that deserved to be in that game, but this year we got

Bama: dominating and just looking like Champs...and haven't lost a home game this year yet.

Kansas State - Great Team, great QB. Good enough schedule.

Oregon - Looking Scary. Not the greatest of competition thus far, but will have chance to prove themselves v a VERY deep Pac 12.

Notre Dame - Love 'em or hate 'em - just beat OK on the road at Night. Had OK won the game, they would have vaulted back in the Nat Championship discussion. They lost, so now people will prob think Ok not very good.
Fantastic Schedule so no ill feelings there.

an undefeated team is gonna end up getting screwed over and not making the big game and it sucks even more than usual with the new playoff right around the corner

A top 15 team that is undefeated should be a title contender. Not sure why that is so hard to understand

SEC has some filthy teams(Defenses) and is the definitely the best conference. I think Pac 12 is a a lot deeper tho.

Because I've seen their schedule. Unfortunate system for Louisville this year. With that kind of a schedule, you have to be a lot more dominant to simply be hovering near the discussion

Big 12 is a better conference than the SEC by far IMO. The middle is a lot better

After watching Louisville barely hang on for dear life a few games plus their horrible coach no way I mean no way do they deserve a shot for the National Title.

Kind of agree if it were good looking teams with equivalent schedules, then sure... But think Boise State. The only reason they were near the talk was so many years of great ball and a ton of big wins against big competition(not in same year).

lets do it this way. Also have to remember that the Big 12 doesnt seem as deep because they have 11 teams while the SEC has 14

    Alabama- Kansas State
    LSU- Oklahoma
    Florida-Oklahoma State
    Georgia- West Virginia
    South Carolina- Texas Tech/Texas

    Vanderbilt- Texas Tech/Texas
    Miss State- TCU
    Tennessee- Iowa State

Guy thinks he's coaching Oregon takes out his starting QB almost costs his team a game I remember that one Lets be real Louisville is not playing for a natl title in football. Only natl title Louisville may see in the near future is basketball

Do you think big 12 is deeper than Pac 12?

I think UCLA and Arizona are pretty good middle of the road teams, with Oregon, OSU, USC and Stanford leading at the top.

I would say not right now, but I dont know how good OSU and Stanford are right now. USC just isn't that great. It's really close and a good point

here's a scenario that is very possible. USC can take 3 undefeated teams right off the map (barring none losing before they play)

Oregon loses to Oregon State or USC on the road
Oregon State loses to Oregon or USC
Notre Dame loses to USC on the road

That leaves us with Kansas State and Alabama as the other undefeated teams. Alabama is no lock to remain unbeaten and Kansas State still has a couple tough games left. What if one of these teams loses? You have 1 undefeated team then plus Louisville is undefeated.

dude we dominated that game and got complacent, we pretty much showed why we're a top 5 team in that first half and then lollygagged the rest of the time because we have a very young team. Won't happen against better competition

There's a few 1 loss teams that would go over Louisville. I would say it is a lock you don't see Louisville in the Natl Championship Game be free to bump this thread later

thats bs. Florida State gets a pass that they lost to a shit Wake Forest team and played NOBODY all penetrating year? You can't lose late in the year and still make the title game, thats a joke. If Louisville is 1 of 2 undefeated teams, I refuse to believe we get screwed

I don't understand? If _________ escapes, they are great under pressure but if Louisville wins a close game then they suck
