If Penn State Loses To Navy Should Bill O'Brien Be Fired?

    Definitely.

If this fukktard can't beat Navy he needs to get out of the business of being a football coach.

No, it's very important for Penn State to be perceived as being somewhat stable after everything that took place. Bill O'Brien's job should be safe through the year if for nothing else than continuity sake.

    Lou,

How would they be able to recruit the best talent if they can't win a football game though?

At that point, Bill O'Brien becomes a liability.

Sometimes in life, you must cut your losses sooner rather than later.

you gotta be kidding - guy lost alot of his better players off a squad that wasn't any good to begin with....... No one can win with that dumpster fire known as PSU

PS. no one would take that job anyway - O'Brien would probably love to get out of that situation

Can't sell tradition and a great fan base right now. Two additional players left the team just this week.

How can they recruit talent with reduced scholarships and no ability to win championships or go to bowl games for the next 4 years? Might as well stick with O'Brien for 2-3 years for the down years. Then maybe get someone better.

What the fukk is this "who would want the job" nonsense?

Bill O'Brien jumped at the opportunity to coach this team.

Any NFL assistant who was never a head coach and wants the opportunity to become one would either take it or strongly consider it at least.

Any college assistant who wanted an opportunity to be a head coach would consider it.

Hell, even the Oakland Raiders can find a head coach when they need it.
