    Ex Pro & Bookie Friday

    Up 2 dimes. 1-0.

At least 1 play for Friday. Stay tuned.

    1 dime - Rutgers +1

Iowa State had trouble scoring in the Big 12 and were a turnover machine. Wait till they play this Rutgers D in NY.

2 dimes - Wake Forest +7 (bought the 0.5 point)

SEC Teams are 1-5 straight up in bowl games before New Year's last 2 years. Tanner Price can sling it and Jim Grobe is a good coach. Watch for moneyline.

Part of a betting syndicate in Vegas that sold plays to tourists that wanted good advice on what to play while they were visiting. Did that for about 3 years and then booked bets for 4, and still take a few from some of the guys I became close with

With you here. I have this as a 3-pt. win for MSU, but I like WF to win straight up.

What do you think of Iowa doing the same for Norm Parker tonight? I have it at 17 for OU, but I'm going with my gut here. I've been reading a lot about acrimony within the OU program, and I just don't see where the motivation is for this overrated Sooner defense.

I might just go small with a greedy parlay:

    - Wake Forest (+230)
    - Iowa (+400)
    - Overeem (-150)

No, just what I decided to write. I could break the game down for days like all of the games I wager on. A few other quick notes:

Instability at QB position of Miss State, and underrated QB Tanner Price, Miss State didn't see many good QBs, Wake Forest fundamentally sound defense/well coached will be disciplined vs the spread, Miss State struggles to throw the ball. Bla bla bla.

The past performances against Navy and Georgia Tech since '07 have impressed me with respect to how Wake handles veer concepts. Dan Mullen's take on the spread is more similar to Paul Johnson/Irvin Jasper iterations than one would expect even though it's almost entirely out of the 'gun, with zero-to-nill pistol concepts to speak of as well.

    Nickel - Oklahoma -13.5

Iowa can't keep up as their defense is not the same as year's past and the suspension to Coker is a dagger in a game where they need to control the clock. Landry struggled down the stretch without Broyles, but will fare much better with some time off to adjust and will have a lead to play with vs an Iowa D that hasn't been tested yet by an O like this. Oklahoma has had 3 weeks to sit around and listen to how bad they are after their blowout loss to OKST. Will be pumped to silence the critics.

Hard to say because he wouldn't fit a lot of spread option systems or systems that like running QBs like Miss St, Ole Miss, etc.

We had a lot of marketing, under the table tips for referrals, in with a few travel agencies, web presence, but the biggest was word of mouth.

The veer concepts are damn-near close to it as the quarterback looks for the 'if-then', 'go to 4-on-3' contingency that one sees with the interior game of the flexbone. It's just out of the shotgun when Mullen runs his inside game.

Totally agree with you, but I'm going with a baseless gut call here, presupposing that Iowa is just going to want this game more.

I think that VanDenBerg is going to be allowed to go no-huddle in this game, and I hope that he'll perform like he's done in the small sample size that I've seen of him in that situation. Coker is good, but I think that the IU backfield will go as their O-line does. That seems like a truism, but, yeah, Coker wasn't the whole team.

I don't know if Roy Finch will be playing tonight, and I'll be fading 'Lance' Jones as well as a defense that Venables appears to have lost recently with his bullshit.

    Good luck with your play.

No doubt the read is the same
What i am saying is Johnson has it down.
Dude I remember when he was @Navy that offense was incredible.
Game has changed so much but that was good footbal.

The problem with CPJ right now is that he trying too hard to stick with Tevin Washington IMO. That kid is always putting the offense off schedule. Kaipo and Nesbitt always made those 'special' 3-5 yd. plays that kept the offense humming.

I thought that he would've taken the redshirt off of Vad Lee, but I guess I'm not going to question his decision.

    Kaipo was the one .

Or it was a 40-yarder to Demaryius Thomas.....

I was talking about those plays where the QB really needed to be the point guard out there and make huge decisions on 3rd-&-6 to 4th-&-3. Nesbitt was a good soldier and put a licking on some defenders that probably weren't expecting it. He took what he should have and moved the chains.

Washington is just too timid for my taste, and that's why I'll be on Utah tomorrow.

I was unaware Wake was a loser, my account says Winner?

I would imagine that on the internet the savvy is the same in real life. You don't walk up to a man and tell him his bet is a loser in a casino while the game is being played, and I'm sure that applies to message boards, too.

Yes, that is pretty much the standard.

But 'chance has it' that people on the internet seem to either A) forget they are talking to other people or B) Use the internet to assert the power they lack in real life, thus not exercising much of decency that i can, almost 95% of the time, predict they would be too pussy to do if it were real life
