Following Thursday's practice, Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt said Bolden, Hawkins, wide receiver/return specialist Philander Moore and offensive guard Alex Washington were suspended one game for "breaking team rules."
Sophomore Jeff Scott figures to get most of the carries in Bolden's absence. Sophomore Evan Swindall is the likely starter in place of Hawkins.
Nutt declined to elaborate about the punishment, only saying he learned about the issue on Wednesday afternoon.
Bolden has battled an ankle injury all season, but was just starting to get healthy. He is second on the team with 105 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns against Fresno State in a win on Oct. 1.
