Over the years I've followed many people's picks and systems. I have never really posted that much unless I had questions as I believe every person is entitled to his/her opinion. I see that many have shared their picks based off of research, systems, or even biases. Well I am here to do the same. Thus far I am 16-7 in College and 7-3 in NFL.
I mainly bet on the lines in NFL but sometimes do a 2-team teaser.
College is mostly teasers as it fluctuates way more than the NFL. But every once in a while I will do just a bet on the line.
Between both, I very rarely bet S/U and it is usually on a dog that I feel has a +70% chance to win.
I always start with my own research to build a notion about a game and then look to many different sources to confirm or talk me out of a potential bad bet.
I have found sportsinsights.com is a great site and has definitely helped my betting.
I will post both NFL picks and College in this thread but if it becomes very popular, I will make separate threads in its respective handicap section.
I failed to mention in the previous post, I almost always use 6 point teasers unless 7 would get a line below a possession change (ie. from 9.5 to 2.5 using a 7 point teaser gives me a better chance of winning)
Yea that does look very appealing. I try to stick to 2-team teasers just because the odds come out to 10/11 so I feel more confident putting a big bet down on a Cincy over 54 and -2 at home and winning just as much as putting the same big bet down on either just cincy -8 or over 60 (both of which I think will happen but like i said earlier, college fluctuates and extra points are never bad as you never know how 18-22 year old's will show up.
I haven't made any NFL picks yet for this week but I love Detroit and think they are very underrated but for some reason (don't know why as they haven't shown anything), I see the Vikings game as a trap line and might stay away from it. Also, bears played the Packers very tough all 3 times last year and are at home. That is also a tough line that could go either way.
And finally, I think Balt will come out strong against an 0-2 team in St. Louis. St. Louis will be come out firing and depending on who comes back, they could potentially make a game of it. Honestly, I think your 3-team teaser would not win just because I think one of those 0-2 teams or the Bears can win and +2/3 can lead to a push or loss. Good luck though and I'll be sure to check in Sunday Morning or Saturday night with my NFL picks
