    UAB/East Carolina

    Can anyone shed some light on why ECU is only a 14 pt favorite at home against an awful UAB team? What am I missing?
    Bodog doesn't have it posted yet so are there injuries I'm unaware of?

    I fell for it too. Usually UAB can be considered a fordable opponent but as of yet this season haven't looked to be the same team as previous years. East Carolina while certainly no juggernaut at least appear to be the 14 points better thus far. I kind of thought it would be higher so chances are I am playing the role of sucker here.

    ECU's defense is horrid. Its hard to cover double digit spreads, when you score as much as you allow.

    Another factor to take into account... I checked the weather reports for Greenville. They're expecting "scattered thunderstorms" all week, including game day. Rain and a soggy field could even things up.

    Was a back and forth game last year. UAB just messed up two possessions to give the game away. The QB for UAB did throw for 5 tds. I am personally thinking that 13 is a little to much. I can't explain the loss to tulane. But maybe they took tulane to lightly and was looking ahead to this game for revenge. If it hits 14 I believe UAB is the play.

    This is probably the 2nd best play on the Board.

    ECU has played 2 games against ranked teams, and have covered the spread both times. They're giving up 341 yds to top 25 teams.

    cris open at 28 too. Using sbrodds. And if it was a bad line then it was a bad line but it still opened at that. Either way that line is history so why are we arguing about it?

    The feed to sbrodds was bad, the line was never 28 in real life. It was 9.5 at first flash shortly after 18:00 ET.
