Ronda Rousey Shows Up At WWE Royal Rumble
Came after the match was over to Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation". Pointed to the Wrestlemania sign signalling that she will be there. Tried to shake Asuka's hand and Asuka slapped it away. went to Stephanie McMahon and she shook it while Stephanie looked at her "shocked".
Thought it was lame to have her overshadow such a great match. I was surprised they went with the Women's rumble for the close, but was deserved in how it came off.

Not gonna debate Shocka I like you BUT that said.
Wrestling is sports entertainment, that said the best guys at least in the 90s and early 00's had amazing skill sets, tolerance for pain, theatrical/mic skills... I think wrestling back then was nice... it was a cool soap opera for kids/young men, especially with all the R storylines and bunch of hot fukkin bitches (Sable, Sunny, Lita, Trish, Marlena, Kiebler, etc)...
MMA fighters obviously take the pain tolerance to extremes... that said... Ronda cant compete in MMA anymore, her style has been studied and exposed, she has ZERO boxing and her BJJ is limited... she relays in Judo like a 1 trick pony... most female fighters have advanced and are not that one dimensional (Nunes, Holm, Cyborg, Shevchenko)... any of those chicks would destroy Ronda today.
She had no choice economically, her big $$$$$$ deals fell when she was exposed, she can't act,her hype is gone... she needs to make a buck.
Oh and BTW... her trainer is the biggest trash in MMA.

Good one... Id make Conor McGregor a 10 to 1 favorite on his chances to be a boxer over Ronda... and bare in mind, I hate Conor boxing... fukker needs to fight Ferguson, and then Kabib, period.
all valid points... WWE is not a sport though. More like an Athletic showing (which I have been to when I was a kid). MMA is about as close as we get when it comes to the fight till death type of atmosphere... Differs from the major sports because those have comparable talent across the board, but the elitist nature in putting it all together (pats/Bellichick, houston Astros, moneyball A's back in the day) is what separates them from something like MMA.. Hard to compare them. Personal opinion though and I'm not about to knock Rousey for striking while the iron is still semi hot because when the window for making money closes on you, it happens fast.
My wife is a HUGE Rousey fan. The night that Holm knocked out Rosuey, you could cut the tension in my house with a knife. It was even worse when Rose Namajunas fukked up Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

There have been a few times I got really depressed when fighters I was big fans of lost. Its amazing how emotionally attached we get to this stuff.
