If you think of it twice, the guy is practically fighting bareknuckle style, a well placed hit with the short arm could do serious damage, plus those kind of injuries/defects usually carry some kind of insensitivity on that member. Still is an amazing show of inner strength to just stand there and fight.

No way. Did you watch the whole fight, saw him once before also. I certainly don't think it's an advantage in his striking game, if anything possibly a slight hinderance but he certainly doesn't let him slow down his wrestling/ground game but I don't think he's gaining an advantage from it, if anything he's at a slight disadvantage but he has learned how to use that as a strength. Pretty F*cking cool if you ask me, when you think things are going bad you don't have to look far to see something inspiring.

It's harder to do arm bars against him.

Was this fight in the U.S. ? Most of the Athletic commissions require hands/nubs to be gloved if you are going to strike with them. That was the reason that quadrapedic wasnt alowed to strike.

Believe it or not there is an mma fighter in georgia who has no legs. And yes he can throw down.

What is the point of this? There are several careers he can do a lot better and make a better living off of. He can never really be put in a spot where he can make serious money in this sport as a fighter at least.

I guess the positive is he doesn't need to waste time in the gym worrying about his take-down defense or being caught in an ankle-lock

You only have a 50% chance of arm barring him compared to a normal fighter.

Why would he have to wear a glove on the stump?? You don't see anyone else wearing elbow pads, and thats basically were it is cut off. And btw, the gloves aren't necessarily worn to prevent damage to the opponents face, as much as they are worn to protect each fighters knuckles/hand.

That i know, but it also prevents cuts to the face of an opponent. They could not get gloves on this kids nubs so he wasnt allowed to strike ... not that he had a chance to.

Yeah... I forget his name now. He used to appear on the local Atlanta Cable MMA show all the time. He probably still does. He's a great spirit and one bad dude.

When I was a youth there was a kid on my block... a couple of years older than me. He had a half of an arm just like the guy fighting in the video. He got into fights pretty frequently... he didn't lose often.

Guy was a beast, not sure if he still does it or not. But Imagine guy should have been in the 200 or so weight class, without legs he only weighed in around 150 or less so he was brutal matching up against anyone. What a spirit the kid had. Actually, after typing this I googlized and I just found this article. He is armless and legless. Imagine what it takes to get in the ring with no limbs. Kyle Maynard

Probably he just loves to fight. What's wrong with that? Not many people have the ability to make money at what they love to do most.

Dax you do realize that fight was in auburn about 5 minutes from where I live.

The place they had that fight at now.... Is now a "Cowboy church of God"

I don't think they will have anymore fights there, but I wish they would turn that old venue back into a drinking establishment instead of a place of worship and horse manure.

wow, that sucks... "Cowboy church of god?" what the heck is that? unbelievable how religion sells, it's kinda like a theme park, a theme for each type of religion... Anyways I guess at least they aren't out hurting anyone...

CAN and SHOULD are two different things. The armless/legless guy is inspirational and all, but at the end of the day, people are watching a freak show, not a competitive fight. What makes this one-armed guy noteworthy, is that he actually WINS.

Well fought! I admire his courage and pluck for sticking it out even with that disadvantage.
