GSP Opens At -425 vs Nick Diaz +325

Not official yet. But these are the early lines. I pray this fight happens. I hate gsp. Boring, safe fighter. Nick Diaz brings the pain. I'm all over Diaz here. Great value.

Don't follow the MMA that much but when it was held here in Toronto last month, all the talk was regarding GSP's next fight which would be against Silva provided he won the match in Toronto. Has something changed since then as to why he's not fighting Silva now?

BTW - Any idea on how much $$ somebody like GSP makes when he defends his title on a per fight basis? Just curious if the $$ amounts are similar to boxing.

gsp by decision will be better than laying -425

i'd love to see diaz f gsp up... unfortunately i think gsp will take diaz down and lay on him for 5 rounds. diaz doesn't have good takedown defense...

These are my exact feelings too. But diaz is too good a fighter to pass up +325. Plus, I really hate gsp

I don't think there's enough value to tie up my money on a fight that isn't official and may not happen for a long time.

It's still possible. This fight hasn't even been confirmed.

The line is also up for GSP vs Anderson Silva a couple weeks after this one. Neither of them are confirmed, it's only action if the fights take place before the certain date... As of now on 1/1/12

    GSP +149
    Anderson Silva -165

I would rather see Diaz against GSP, I would be betting on Diaz.

I would love for Diaz to be able to beat GSP guys but it simply is not going to happen. Diaz does not have one punch knock out power and unfortunately with GSP's skill set, that is basically what you have to catch him with to beat him. GSP may try to stand and trade with Diaz but the second he feels like Diaz is getting the best of him he will start taking Diaz down at will and this isn't just opinion....it is fact. GSP has the best take downs in the UFC and there is no way that Diaz with sub par TDD will be able to stop them. Diaz is good off of his back but GSP also has extremely good sub defense as well. I see it as another 5 round decision for GSP. Diaz does not have any value in this fight because he is going to lose quite handily.

Diaz is not going to beat GSP. Diaz to win is a waste of money...

diaz has maybe the best stand up at welterweight. however, he has yet to face an elite wresler in strikeforce. all his opponents have been mostly stand up fighters.

i think koscheck, shields, fitch would give diaz trouble.

Yup... the correct price according to my metrics/capping is for GSP to pay somewhere between -550 and -625, so the value is with GSP.

    oh YAY.

This is going to be the most boring fight of all time.

I love GSP and I love Diaz, but GSP will want to take it down. Diaz has slick BJJ, so GSP won't want to take many risks on top... Lay and Pray x 5 rounds.

I wouldn't even pay for this.

diaz...jaysus you guys are completely clueless...wait to piss your money away on him if you want to convince yourself you are getting "good" value because his line will go up if this gets confirmed...he has no fukking chance...NONE

Not completely clueless. Diaz has a way of getting into peoples head. When the dude is standing in the middle of the cage with his hands down, calling you a bitch. Makes you think you can beat him standing up. Gsp prolly will just lay and pray. But Diaz is always worth a small play.

Not close to boxing elite, GSP makes 200grand tops.

I like Diaz's value in this one.

I might also look at GSP by dec when the props come out on it.

Of course he has a chance. All quality pros should be afforded one, especially a fighter as dangerous as Diaz. It's just a very poor style match-up.

I like GSP's line right now. I feel he's being slightly undervalued after his less than par performance against Shields. It's hard for me to see Nick winning this... but he obviously has a shot. If anything I think Diaz would have to win by sub here though so my play will be on GSP + Diaz sub of the night.
