Haven't been involved in a few years, but I used KuCoin to lend USDT as a form of fairly passive income. Cashed out a few years ago. Curious if there are platforms a U.S. resident can use to lend USDT? I'm not an expert at all, don't have time to read up a lot on the subject but thought some of you may know?

I believe KuCoin, Binance, Celsius aren't available for U.S. residents, that's why I'm asking what's available. I'd probably loan 2K max as a test.

There's a Crypto.com Defi wallet that does this. I see 11.12% APY for compound lending of Tether.

The Defi wallet is a different app than the Crypto.com app so I *think* you can install it without having the Crypto.com app. I have both apps and have them linked.

Custodial staking on Kraken is not available in the U.S. or Japan. Staking USDC on Coinbase is not available either but I suppose you can hold it for about 5.1% APY.

USDD is not available for trading on Coinbase exchange, but is available on Coinbase Wallet for about 20% APY.

USDD is kinda shaky, it has a history of not holding its peg. Be careful with that one.

The thing about custodial staking is you might get 1099's. Myself, I like to avoid 1099's.

If you're open to other stablecoins, DAI gets 12.5% APY on the Crypto.com Defi wallet.

I'm open to anything that is stable. I'm just looking for another revenue stream with little maintenance.

I'm with you there. Low maintenance is my game.

There's so much out there that qualifies. Some of it you have to do a bit of a deep dive. I just started staking PolkaDot myself (~15.5%). I had been staking using the Crypto.com Earn program at only 9%. They were making money off my staking and sending me a 1099 to boot. So, I withdrew the PolkaDot and started staking myself. it wasn't simple - you had to have 540 DOT to nominate validators. I didn't have that much so I joined a pool. More study in picking a pool. I think I got it right but it was so easy to screw it up. Bonding and unbonding and staking and voting and youtube videos and yada, yada....

At any rate, many coins allow you to stake. I recently saw where Injective (INJ) pays about 13% APY in the Exodus wallet. Might be a better way to stake Injective but that's not bad.

Whatever you choose, it will be better than a bank. I don't see how anyone can keep large sums in a bank anymore....

You can also bridge USDT, ETH and other tokens to Blast.io and receive yield plus airdrops.

Probably something to do with Jupiter. I got 22¢ worth of catwifhat (CWIF) a couple of days ago in the Phantom wallet.

Jupiter has staking and there are promises of airdrops and other rewards. I'm staking my JUP. Some of the airdrops are complicated - they want you to use all the features on Jupiter to qualify. F*** that. If they want to lay an airdrop on me, fine

Lark Davis has a video on Jupiter:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfIEHLe4ke8

Runs about 13:48. I believe he mentions MEW in the video....

Alright. I can’t watch this any longer. Don’t have the cash to play with the big boys so I need to decide on an ETF or two. BITX ? Sideline cash of $25K so where do I go? Any help and suggestions welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Well, it's a bull market and a poor time to enter but the good news is just about everything is going to go up from here. Gains won't be as much as entering 6 months ago. Perhaps there will be another year of this going up. You can make some short term gains but a long term strategy will have better buy-in prices further down the line when the bear market kicks in.

BTC and ETH might 2x/3x from here. Solana maybe a little more. There will be coins that 10x-50x plus but that takes luck and study.

Can't advise on ETF's. I'd rather own the real thing.

Goose, this is amateur advice. Just my opinion:

    1) I like Bitwise. There are some Bitwise products. BITB looks good to me.
    2) Consider buying some MSTR. MSTR had been going nuclear until the last few days.
    3) If you decide to self-sovereign, that requires more education. One way to acquire BTC is to take a sportsbook withdrawal.

Now is a good entry point. Just b4 the halving, check back on this thread in 28 days.

This Roger Ver video is pretty good.

Go to (19:00): Ver talks about losing 28,000 BTC in the MtGox scandal when it was $4/coin.
