    Yay, new thread.

Bitcoin currently at $42,839 on Jan 14, 2022. We were at this level in late July 2021 so pretty close to 6 months of sideways action but an all time high was had in early November - BTC spent a lot of time in the $40K to $67k during those 6 months.

I remember in Feb 2018, the day after the SuperBowl, BTC took a dip and went down, down, down for the next 20 months or so. Really dark times for crypto. Or some would say, a buying opportunity.....

You said that a 4 year cycle doesn't mean anything. Every four years miner's rewards are cut in half and the creation of bitcoin is cut in half. Crypto-currencies are much different than the stock market. You have to keep up with the changes since they happen so fast. You can't trade the same way it was done 100 years ago in the stock market.

How would you trade GALA? There's no chart that will tell you that information.

I hope we don't have to wait until 2025 for another run but that's the worst case scenario.

Does it feel like banks have been secretly hording BTC and saying the opposite? What did black rock or whoever stand to gain from dirty genslers decision against BTC ETF?

I didn’t say the halving cycle doesn’t mean anything, you are putting words in my mouth.

fundamentally digital assets are both economic and financial instruments utilized and traded like any other financial instrument in history

yes it might have its nuances, but anything of value is subject to the amount of liquidity in any system.

Let’s say all the money in the world disappears? How does price go up? When rates increase trillions upon trillions of dollars move into instruments providing a better return. This is the point!!

it’s okay to say you don’t understand this...you are a great guy and I am just tryin to learn you something same as i learn things from you.

my thesis, we may see some form of melt up into spring after the market has a major correction, once money on sidelines re-enters to buy a significant dip...as rates are hiked into end of 2022-2023/24 its bear or sideways without new highs for majority of all assets...as the Fed is forced to conveniently lowe rates into 2024 which happens to be the next halving cycle, then we see bull market...

obviously the red herring is substantial regulation could be implemented and this quite honestly could cause a more prolonged bear market which will see crypto punished possibly even into a halving...

just because supply is lowered doesn’t mean demand will keep up...and any form of regulation could initially impact demand significantly.

However, with clear regulation comes more institutional money and long term it could be the catalyst to send 10’s of trillions into the crypto market.

I'll be blunt since you want to make it personal. You don't understand the first thing about crypto-currency. One reason is that you don't understand market manipulation. I can do it by myself with NFTs by sweeping the floor. As a group, I get contacted a lot to do this but don't. They were trying to get the lowest offers rescinded to jack the price up. This stuff is done all the time at different scales.

You should have been in DeFi 1.5 years ago and NFT/gaming months ago. I'm in BTC to hold term and for sports gambing along with a few longshots. I moved most of the rest long ago to NFT/gaming. You are very slow to adjust and adapt. VeVe has made everyone money. Every collectible has gone up, some 1000x.

Thank you sir. And to answer your previous question no it never did exist. Its fake money that you really can't do anything with but make transfers to sportsbooks. I just feel bad for people that actually invested in it because it will eventually be worth nothing.

I don't mind discussing crypto back and forth but you have to move past tulips. Stay put and you'll always be fighting for scraps. Keep up to date and get in early.

    Daniella interviews Keiser.

He doesn't apologize. Just pushes his $220k projection from 2021YE to 2022YE.

It did go up, just that he missed his target by 4x. He's still trying to pump it up.

I'd give him a mixed review here. If you give a whacked projection, you have to own it.

I don't know, NY. 2021 was a good year for BTC, mainly b/c it became currency in El Salv. Price-wise, it was disappointing but still up > +30%.

My standard follow-up question: *Where ELSE would you want to hold your financial assets?

2021 was a great year for sellers it's opposite for buyers avr. price at 44k good chuck of 2021 bitcoin was traded above 40k how much they made hodling till now? Even meme stocks was better investment. Not touching bitcoin anytime soon unless price goes down to 30k.

Oops!! Forgot to study the charts not just price / market cap. Just sold: AAVE, COMP, DASH, and ZEC.

This crypto stuff new to me lol

I didn't like the chart trends namely that they did not enjoy the oct/nov climb that most of the sector did. I know this cannot be directly correlated to stock behavior but generally speaking in stocks I look at charts more than any other factor.

Looks Ok to me. I too have a wide variety with many in the Top 20. Out of all the different coins I own, BTC and ETH are still the best performers because I loaded up on them in the last bear market. Some of the others are doing OK (2x to 7x) but not as well as BTC and ETH.

It's kinda tough getting in now because the multipliers aren't as good. Buying into a new coin now may or may not do well but if it is a good coin and stays in the top 20, it should produce over the long haul.

"Time in the market is better than timing the market".

If a coin drops say 50% it's a good idea to buy more - you can double your stack for half price. DCA (dollar cost average). I would only do this with top 20 or even top 10 coins. I spent most of 2018 and 2019 in the red but I was DCA'ing the whole time - Bringing that DCA down.

The market is in a strange place right now. I don't think anyone knows if it is going to go up, sideways or down over the next few months.

As to the coins you couldn't find, sign up at Kucoin. They have 3 of the 4. A lot to like about Kucoin. Overseas exchange and all you need is an email and Authenticator app. Pretty sure they don't communicate with the eye-are-ess. Transfer out up to 1 BTC daily without KYC.

GNO can be found at Kraken (USA exchange).

Ecomi putting in a lot of work to increase the price and utility of OMI. They've added staking tiers for perks. They are also adding more exchanges in January and February although they've missed stated deadlines in the past. This is a solid token even if gains aren't immediate.
