    Muchbetter app withdrawal-Canada

I am a Canadian, so I used the app "Muchbetter" to deposit funds to Pinnacle, and won over $800 in the Pinny casino last night.
    Deposits were easy and instantaneous.
    Withdrawal? Not so much.
Their supposed "easy" verification process now requires me to scan my passport, scan my utility bill, take a photo of me holding my passport, all of which have been rejected twice due to "lighting issues".

I will keep everyone posted as to my progress.

I have used muchbetter app too but have not had any issues getting verified.

I like that for Canadian clients muchbetter pays via interac etransfer.

What I don't like is the fact they transact in us dollars and absolutely rape you with fees and conversion rates to Canadian dollars.

Nothing. iDebit works perfectly. As a matter of fact Pinnacle will allow you to withdraw via iDebit even if you deposit using another method.

Last time I withdrew from Pinny was a week ago. I requested a payout to iDebit and it was received in less than 20 mins and in my bank acct the next day.

I should have used idebit but had a problem with them too. apparently i had an old idebit account from 8 or 9 years ago and until I can provide all the exact details of that account during that time, they won't reinstate my account. sucks.

Did you get verified ok in the end?

They use an electronic ID verification service. That company sets the standards of images needed. If the software rejects the photo, there is nothing they can do themselves.

Usually it is that the writing in the passport is not visible enough when people do the selfie. Need to get up real close with the camera to take them.

Got verified today and an interac etransfer is to be on its way to me but I doubt i will see it before tomorrow. $300 from Pinny to much better then probably get like $ 280 cnd after muchbetter fck with converting the $300 along with a $4 USD withdraw fee.

I assume they are just laughing along with Skeletor. Not sure why you didn't pick up on that. I'm sure Skeletor is laughing at me today after getting my arss handed to me.

Speaking of Skeletor, that was my thing growing up. I had all the darn figures and castles. Everything including friggin Cyclops. Then, we moved and my Dad said they fell off the truck somewhere. I think he just didn't like the things.....

I am verified on muchbetter and ive had no issues depositing and withdrawing. Yes, the fee is ridiculous... $4 USD. Sucks that if you deposit using Much etter you have to withdraw using the same method at pinny....

Withdrew $15k from LeoVegas, went through MuchBetter. I received $14400. What a joke. I looked at their Euro to CAD rate, which says 1.40. Google says 1.47-1.48. Sent in a ticket to their support email, hope this gets resolved but if they can just chalk it up to exchange rates then I'm just scammed out of $600...

This is why I was so happy for Bitcoin to come along.

People forget what a blatent rip off any sort of international conversion is the old way.

I still have to pay banks about $150/mth just for the privilege of having them accept my pay deposited in US$.

Each time it makes me ache for the day banks are redundant like Blockbuster video.

Uh oh... you're telling me this is a normal occurrence? I have been fortunate enough to avoid banks/bank wires/e-wallets and go through crypto but didn't know I'd get ripped off so badly

You can expect to lose 4 or 5% if a bank is involved with converting the currency from US$ to CA$

The published fee is usually 2.5%, but every bank than also charges a premium on top of the spot exchange rate.

I am guessing that this is what Muchbetter are dealing with. They may even have a 2nd premium on top themselves.

I would ask Muchbetter to explain the calculations or maybe find them on their website.

Muchbetter might also be able to suggest a cheaper way to convert. Maybe US$ to BTC to CA$.

Find out for sure what MuchBetter charged first, then maybe approach LeoVegas and say you feel ripped off and there was no disclosure that it would cost so much to withdraw that way, and they might make you good if you strike the right person.

I see LeoVegas advertising a lot right now. They might be more open to being nice due to that too.

Conversion rates are usually high. Converting USD to CAD and vice versa is going to cost money.

Where muchbetter really shines is CAD to CAD. No conversion, its 1:1. Fee is $4USD to receive an interac e-transfer regardless of the amount withdrawn.

ie $1000 withdrawal is a $4 flat fee which is 0.4%

    Depositing ther are no fees.

Ok so to finish off the saga - I went to LeoVegas support, asking why I received ~$4667 instead of $5000 x3. LeoVegas support confirmed that they sent the money to MuchBetter in CAD, not EUR. I go to MuchBetter support, which is terrible and they take 2 weeks to respond. Also, my account is verified but I can't withdraw my funds and get some error message. So I have $14k stuck in the MuchBetter app until they respond to my email - bad customer service.
Finally MuchBetter responds and says they received the money in EUR, and converted it at 1.4 CAD = 1 EUR, and then some crap about how their conversion rates are very competitive. So I go back to LeoVegas customer support (also pretty bad, lots of waiting/disorganization/"departments" don't communicate) and after like 2-3 hrs on live chat over multiple days they confirmed they screwed up and sent the money in EUR. They fixed this, apologized, and credited the money to my LeoVegas account.

Why did I type all this? idk, but MuchBetter didn't screw me over on any exchange rates. Their customer support is terrible however - no phone number, live chat always not available (when I tried anyway) and super long response times for emails.
