    Betcoin.ag why is it just a C+ ????

I'm strictly a bitcoin player and have used many sites including Nitrogen, Sportsbet.io and Cloudbet. All 4 sites differ but Betcoin.ag is probably the best I never had an issue with a payout and I had reviews and holds on the other 3. Line selection is great amd customer service is good. I'm somewhat upset sites that have "B" ratings have stiff me from bonuses and money while Betcoin.ag has been rock solid still has a C rating. What goes into grading sites and why hasnt betcoin.ag been reviewed recently? I have nothing but positves things to say for betcoin.ag does anyone agree or have different stories?

solid place. The site is harder to navigate then Nitro with odds that are nothing special and payouts from my experience are slower then Fairlay or Nitrogen. I use it mainly for Live or poker. I would rate it way better then Cloudbet as IMO is a book to avoid cloudbet.

    Thanks for the feedback Jacob

I think you make a good point that they should be rated among the top bitcoin only sites.

I normally see eye to eye with kona on the books but this time we're a little different. Betcoin is very easy to navigate as shown by the screenshot. You'll find the best price, unique line, on some sides and most payouts are within 20 minutes. The first payout has been slower for some and may be a little slower for poker players. I've also found it to have the most live markets per game of all the bitcoin books. There may be over 100 live markets in some major sports.

They also have a free weekly handicapping contest with some lines that you'll find to be stale. It pays .1 BTC/week.

Edit- I'd like to add that you do have to make 2 mBTC in wagers for the week to enter. Week 4 spreads. Deadline is Friday 7 PM ET. Some lines are stale here:

    Week 4 Spreads
    Panthers +4.5 @ Texans -4.5
    Titans +3.5 @ Falcons -3.5
    Browns +6.5 @ Ravens -6.5
    Patriots -7.5 @ Bills +7.5
    Chiefs -6.5 @ Lions +6.5
    Raiders +7.5 vs Colts -7.5
    Chargers -15.5 @ Dolphins +15.5
    Redskins +3.5 @ Giants -3.5
    Seahawks -4.5 @ Cardinals +4.5
    Buccaneers +10.5 @ Rams -10.5
    Jaguars +2.5 @ Broncos -2.5
    Vikings +2.5 @ Bears -2.5
    Cowboys -2.5 @ Saints +2.5
    Bengals +4.5 @ Steelers -4.5

I wouldn't do it. They have a lot of freebie contests so it's not worth it.

All they require is an email address to confirm withdrawals. I also use google authenticator. The only thing that could cause a problem is multi-accounting.

Yea live markets are excellent but i will disagree on site navigation esp when trying to do multiple sports parlays and logging into different areas is confusing..im just saying nitrogen is easier esp for newer recreational guys....its a good trusted book i agree and id rate it B and way more worthy then cloudbet

Betcoin has a long history of doing some very shady things:

    ****************

A lot of it involved their poker room (which is now gone) and casino. But the same people that dealt with those issues also deal with the sports book.

They claim to have new owners as of this year, but it's clear they have the same management.

I don't understand why they banned U.S customers and then about a year later they let U.S customers back. I don't think a book has ever done that.

Support has said that betcoinpoker.ag is not related to betcoin.ag anymore.

They were planning on getting a license for Betcoin in early 2018 but ended up changing their mind and licensing another brand. https://www.playbetr.com/ is the licensed version of Betcoin.

Betcoin is located in Costa Rica. Playbtr has a Curacao license. They are different companies using the same odds provider. Playbtr bans players from the US.

I currently play at Betcoin. Lines can be unique and they have a huge selection of live props. I don't understand the hold either since it's different by sport. Sometime different per game in the same sport and league.

I'm not sure exactly how, but Betcoin.ag, Playbetr.com, Coinbet.ag, Dashcasino.ag, Ethereumcasino.ag, monerocasino.ag and bitcoincashcasino.ag are all related (there are probably more). Support and PR are run by the same people, they're all drupal clones of each other, and they all share the same database.

Playbetr.com is unique in that it's the only one that has a license (which limits certain countries), but you can get a Curacao license from anywhere in the world. Betcoin and all the other sites listed also have playbetr as a software provider for some of their provably fair casino games.

I think they licensed the software from someone else, but I don't think it's a skin as in you can play with betcoinpoker players from other sites. Things could have changed though.

Betcoin and Playbetr are separate entities using the same providers. Playbetr has a Curacao sublicense but that really doesn't mean much. A book located in Costa Rica compared to a book having a Curacao license are almost the same as far as player security. It's not the same as having a license in the UK. .

Couldn't a book located in Costa Rica have a Curacao sublicense?
Betcoin and Playbetr share more than just a service provider. (I assume service provider refers to the APIs for all of the bets/games they offer)
A couple months ago both betcoin and playbetr (and coinbet) emails, account balances and support tickets were hacked. The hacker claimed it was a single database.
It also seems pretty clear that the same people are promoting them on another forum by their style. The posts are too similar to be a coincidence.

I was also told right before Betcoin re opened to US players that they were debating whether or not to get a license for Betcoin or another project.

but who is gonna do all the work of auditing the trail of every play? forgive me if i'm skeptical, but over the years i have heard tons of stories of how things were safe (like my money at mt gox) or fair, and they turn out to be rigged.

even live dealers have been caught cheating, so it really isn't hard to rig software and then pay some random people to "verify it"

yea that BOL live dealer scam was horrible....we are naive to think the casino's and poker are not either rigged or collusion occurring...Ive caught numerous guys at Nitrogen poker colluding most are make it obvious. Nitrogen is good about it and redistributes funds when its proved

I'd trust a book with a basic business registration in Costa Rica more than I would a Curacao holding company with a gambling license.

It takes a little effort and actually being there to get started in CR.

Any one of us here with 50k could have a complete book, casino, company and payment solution out of Curacao by next week.

The players are. It's not that difficult to use third party verifiers.

I'm sure less than 1% of bets are actually verified, there's no need to verify every single one - all it takes is for one person to find one issue.

There are also third party sites like https://cryptogambling.org and https://dicesites.com/provably-fair that are run by programmers with a very good understanding of how things work. They also track the result of every bet on many sites. So we know exactly how much the house is making and can compare it to the house edge. (in many cases the house bankroll is actually funded by players and the house just takes a flat fee).
