So this has nothing to do with me suddenly having a valuation for betpoints. Just sounds like a fun lil personal challenge that a few have tried here over the years. I also cashed out 80 percent of my sportsbook balances last month so my real $ activity will likely be low for a while (ps been 3 weeks and still waiting on 3 checks. Gotta love offshores). And no wulfman it wasn't for a wedding ring.

So the challenge is to accumulate 100,000 betpoints before the end of 2014. This will include anything in my account on or before 12/31 /14 (minus any loans I owe) and any Sbr store purchases in 2014. So if somehow 100K is reached before 12/31/14 than the contest is done.

Currently what you see is what I have and there are no pts hiding in the sportsbook. I'm owed around 4300 pts (1850 from bigdeem, 2000 from wulfman, 100 from Hockey, 360 from toldyouso) so you can factor that in if you like.

Looking for odds and betpoints bigtimers to give me some action on this. Would be no need to post up and we can settle after the year, as I'm assuming there are only a handful of posters who will be able to jump on this and we all have relationships here.

So give me some fair odds (yis/try etc) on reaching 100K this year and let me know how much you are willing to put up. Let me know any other rules/stipulations you wanna add. Not looking for anything that will require a ton of tracking...we're talking about 100K in a year here so don't care about removing 2 pt gifts/etc.

What you have going for you:

• I very rarely have the time or the inclination to play poker at sbr
• Football is just about done so all SBR Sportsbook limits will be beans for a long while
• I probably drink more alcohol than my boy Rudy volume wise and I'm really good at losing 20K plus in an hour in the sbr casino
• No poster ever wins these ballsy challenges

late you can always fire up parlays or offers on the forum to just get to 100,000 (even if it means losing all the points you have in the process if unsuccessful) and of course then hold until the end so you have
some slight advantage to just needed to get to that number and you know the target.. you win with a single 100,000 moment and dont lose more with reaching 0-99,999

Not sure how anyone came up with +250 the last time. I looked for the original Rudy thread but since it was from two years ago, it's been deleted (SBR deleted everything from a certain date and earlier in the points forum).

It's hard to go that high because aside from points from logging in, you can accumulate freeplays and keep throwing together huge longshot parlays. Eventually one will hit.

revisiting expected earnings from being a pro:

12 a day for logging in*365=4380

1 a day for posting in fantasy=365 possible points (can expect to miss days)

two trivia shots a week, should hit 20 on average, IMO, if you go for 60 every time. 40 fp a week*52 weeks=2080 in freeplays=1560 expected return in real points

then there's poker, occasional sbr giveaways or whatever. Hard to factor for that.

A) I won't ever bother logging onto the fantasy forum for a point. Been there a few times but only for fantasy questions
B) I don't think I've ever stopped at 60 for trivia. Don't anticipate starting to do so now.

And I don't really ever bet parlays. If I win this it will be from straight betting sports and some poker.

I don't stop at 60 for trivia either. I know that a lot of people do and I was basing it on that strategy.

If you go for the top level you should be able to average 30 a pop, 60 a week

About wedding rings and to give you an idea on how much my girl has a read on me (or jewelry) I give her a real nice cubic zirconia first. I mean top of the line when it comes to imitation jewelery. I was gonna give her that before the real one , make her flabbergasted. Maybe she takes a few hours to realize and shows appreciation for it(doubt it though they have a 6th sense for this stuff). Now even the sharpest eye needs to at least look at it a bit to gauge whether it is fake. I take it halfway outta my pocket and she says "where's the real one asshole"
