    Looking to sell loan

I want to get the wife an Ipad using pts for upcoming birthday. I would have the pts myself, if I didn't make 8,000 loan. Just figured I would be paid back fairly quickly considering Stud's MLB capping skills. Don't have PM access to reach out to TryTryTry, one of the few who can afford a buyout of this size. Anyone interested, please make reasonable offer. Thanks.

Current balance is 9,166, with .5% weekly juice running.

    Loan info is here: http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/sbr-points...-big-loan.html

You're looking to sell a loan in which you got 0 payments in the month since you gave it.

I will give you 500 points for it.

Based on repayment history id take the 500 or 600 points and get something for it, but if stud ever gets hot again im sure he would pay whoever buys it from you and when does studs pro status expire and is he renewing would play a factor in it.

I asked for reasonable offers & stated I want the pts to buy wife Ipad, so what's 500-600 pts going to do? Currently owed 9,166 + weekly interest until paid off. But willing to accept 8,000 even, giving buyer all up to date & future interest. Thought Stud might have some friends here who would be willing to do this, maybe I'm wrong.

bobby your a good guy but put shoe on the other foot with no payment ever being made there is a good chance anyone buying the loan is not going to get paid so even someone giving you 500-600 will probably never get those back. Have you talked to stud via Pm or email about this ?

Maybe SBR could reverse the last transaction between you 2? At least you could get back 3,000 of it.

Wait....never mind, that kind of stuff only happens to me.

I doubt bobby wants less than ~8k for it since he needs to buy the ipad.

As for loan's worth, big ones like this depend more on stud's character than his recent repayment history. For example, we all know carseller is garbage despite his recent miniscule payments, while guys like rudy have proven character and will be coming through on their big loans regardless of how long it takes. Stud's paid back his previous loans in a fairly timely manner, although they were quite a bit smaller. Not sure his history supports knocking one out like this from scratch though, especially with pro renewal coming up in December.

With the information we have, the most I could see paying for this is approx. 1,500 points...loan is just too big and too many variables. Good luck though, hope you find someone willing to help ya out here

FYI: I've never bailed on a loan.

Everyone that loaned to me knew my situation.

There are some out there who pay great when they go on a roll, unfortunately there are some who go on bad runs and just write it off.

    Good post,

Bobby is a good guy but a little naive if he thinks somebody will pay 8k for a loan with zero payments.

But this is SBR, maybe he will find somebody even more naive.

Sure, there's a slight risk. However, Stud appears to be a good guy & I'm optimistic he'll eventually pony up. Loan is only 1 month old, so it's not like loan is 1 year old with no payments. There's also the likelihood to earn a nice profit here, currently 1,166 + weekly interest until paid. This is an opportunity for the minority of pt rich folks like TryTryTry, or guys who may be friends of Stud & may know him personally. Offer is obviously not directed towards the majority of pt broke posters.

Wait a sec pal, I'm still well above 12/day on my loan. It's way too slow, but I'm not one month of no payments.

last summer even during my 50,000 pt bet I averaged 12/day

i do realize you were complimenting my character but I don't like the "regardless how long it takes"

Heh, sorry Rudy, just pulled you off the top of my head as one of the few people who could be counted on to come out on top of a massive loan. Not like anyone should doubt it either with you cashing an average of 4k points a month at poker

well lots of people have some fun at sbr and then disappear. stud had less then what 500 posts. he had a huge run and then busted. to build up that amount of points again needs time, patience and a torrid run. if he hasnt paid you in a month its still not a time to be alarmed but def . not to be relaxed either. you are selling at the right time def. because another month or two of non payment will result in nobody buying the loan but even right now you won't get what you are asking. not even half that. PM contact is also very important in determining whether this loan should be bought. i never went over a month on ANY loan without answering a PM from my lenders and/or writing them a PM with assurance they will be paid.

if no PM contact then personally, id take anything over 2k and be rid of it.

It's not like stud fell off the face of the earth, lol...no payment in a month on a 9k loan doesn't mean the same as it does on a smaller one. If he'd paid 12 a day since the loan and kept doing so, Bobby would still be close to 2 years away from recovering the original amount lent. Paying off a loan this large requires decent sized scores in poker and/or sportsbook, which is what it looks like stud's trying to get started. By itself, no repayment yet shouldn't be taken as any kind of sign that stud's not going to pay.

However....Bobby, if you want 8k to grab an ipad, why not just borrow it yourself??

Stud fell victim of a rare phenomenon referred to as "not-winning at gambling". Documented cases are extremely rare, but the results can leave victims pizza-less and without two points to rub together.

With all due respect to the OP, This loan is another example of a risky proposition like the Snicker Doodle's loan. A guy that has 85,000 points at one time needing a loan a couple of months later. He is obviously chasing. Probably not a wise move to lend someone 8K points that is on a real bad run. Too early in the game to predict payback, but good luck in getting back your loot.

I've gone out this far for a few guys who I'm fairly confident about, and I'd do the same for you as well if I had em, or I'd chip in with someone else.

Thanks, I'll just make wife wait until X-mas. Not hard to generate pts via poker, so I should have 15.7k by then. Unless I make another ill advised 8k loan, or 3k prop bet on Wulf following through exactly on what he said regarding pt buying amounts.
