It is worth it to borrow 3K points for renewal?

I have about 1K in freeplays and am about to expire. Just finishing off a loan payment to triple very soon. I would just deposit at a book or buy tickets like I did last year. Not to be harsh but I cant exactly just give $200 to a charity right now or I would. I'm buying a house, a child, getting married so every penny counts.

It would be 250 days worth of points without interest. Now I do pretty good in the book and with the freeplays so that could really accelerate it. I play online poker actually but playing for points is not usually possible because of my work schedule which sucks because I know I'd do well.

Just looking for advice that's all because I'd love to keep it but renewal options for U.S. members is charity or 3k points.

Just give the $200 like everyone else.

But first you need to spend ALL of those 1000 points in freeplays. You will probably turn that into 3000 easily, but if not then just pay the cash like everyone else

Are you saying I have to use the freeplays up before I renew or by the renewal deadline?

Check to see if there will be a BTP contest this football season. If so, may be worth a shot to borrow if you need to. If not, considering you do not play poker for points would refrain from taking a loan.

weren't you starting numerous threads asking to renew through different methods, like fantasy deposits? now a couple days later you say "just pay the cash like everyone else" even though he's broke

i would suggest putting the freeplays to work on all possible 3-teamer combinations, get 700 points or so, and borrow the rest. contests like btp will be coming up, that will get you some points for payback sooner or later...

If you enjoy the activities here on SBR and plan on logging in every day, then the loan will lmore than pay for itself. If not, then not...pro renewal isn't as beneficial as it used to be (especially for $200) but doing so with points is still a good idea if you plan on participating in the contests, trivia etc.

right now its cost 1500 points for a $50 gift card so give $200 to charity and then just get to 6000 points in a year and its a wash although the store prices may increase

I renewed by hitting a 4 team parlay. Use those free plays at the book.

I renewed by winning a poker tourney and converting the winnings to 3,500.

It can be done. I wasnt about to donate $200 either

No. The SBR store options were recently gutted and it's only going to get worse. No longer any reason to be pro.

ah just sucks was on the ass end of paying off a loan to triple. I have I believe around 600-700 points in freeplays from trivia. I'm a good card player just gotta make the time. I crush trivia and that really helped with paying off triple D. Not sure if I wanna just go for one big shot on a few games or try to grind it. I know grinding is smarter but ill wait and see.

I got perfect credit and I feel bad but just moved into new house in new town and times are tight. I'd consider a 3k loan with decent interest (taken out many loans and have perfect credit) but a high interest loan is a no go.

In my opinion the value isn't there. I've never had to come out of pocket to be a pro here. Always just had enough funds at sponsor books for renewal and now just can use points. I'd never shell out $200 bucks just to toss pts around.

That said I am grateful for the thousands of dollars in free stuff I've gotten from SBR.

Based on your repayment rate on our current loan (~12 pts/day) and my standard interest rates, a 3k renewal loan would cost you about 850 points in interest and wouldk be paid off about 11 months in. With BTP,trivia and poker if you have the time, it could be done quicker with less weekly interest (for example, winning 40 pts a week from trivia/BTP/poker combined would speed up payback to 29 weeks, with about 370 saved in interest). So it's not quite the no-brainer it used to be, but there's still a little margin there to renew with a loan if you enjoy hanging around here.

Depending on how badly I get hammered with poker cup betting though, I might not be able to help ya for a while, but you're credit's solid so other guys should be able to hook you up too.

Cooper letter me knowing triple in really like it here and it'd be worth it.. Trivia really helped me and with football coming up and contest I'm sure I could pay off much faster.. Bol with your Bets!
