As someone who was a member when SBR first started and a founder of the site, I appreciate the site and its relevance in the sports gambling community. But I am becoming increasingly angry and disillusioned with the obscurity of the trivia questions. On Thursday, my 175 point question was:
"How many yards did the Oklahoma running back rush for in their 2005 bowl game?"
A. XXXX
B. XX
C. XXX
D. XX
Seriously, this is not a trivia question at all. Who in their right mind would possibly know something like this outside of maybe the actual Oklahoma running back that day. This type of question is so remote it borders on the obscene. And increasingly these types of questions are now becoming standard for the 60 point questions. This is not a test of sports knowledge as much as it is a guess that yields you a 25% chance of getting it correct. And that is the only hope you have anymore with these types of questions.
In light of the obscurity of most of these trivia questions, the increasing costs for store items, the Bet Islands Sportsbook scandal, the poor quality of posters who have taken over SBR and have held us hostage with their stupidity, and the lack of offshore possibilities for American citizens, I am seriously going to have to rethink about renewing my pro membership. I am at the point where I am saying is it really worth it anymore to give $200 to a site that is increasingly irrelevant for Americans. And quite honestly, I am leaning heavily towards "NO" right now.
