    Mini CFB Bowl Contest --- 100 point entry fee

    NCAA Bowl Contest:

    Buy-in: 100 betpoints. Send points to hels in 1st post of this thread.

    Deadline to enter: Thurs. Dec 20th at 8PM ET. See fineprint for details.

    Prizes
    1st. 50% + Generous 1k SBR freeplay compliments of Lou
    2nd. 30% + Generous 500 SBR freeplay compliments of Lou
    3rd. 10%
    4th. 5%
    5th. 2%

    Contest rules


    • Each player picks 15 games from lines posted in this thread. Lines will not change: we will use this thread for everything. Pick denominations will be: Five 3*'s, Five 2*'s, Five 1*'s.
    • Tiebreaker #1: most 3* wins, tiebreaker #2: most 2* wins. Prizes split if still tied.
    • Pushes will return half of your bet. For example, if USC (-3) wins by 3, and they were a 2* play, you receive 1 star.
    • If a contestant edits a post for any reason after lines are posted Dec 17 at 8PM EST that edit will count as a 1* loss. DO NOT EDIT ANY POSTS

    1. Must send 100 points in this thread (loans will be given, see below). Deadline for entry fees is Dec. 20th at 8PM EST
    *Lines will be the pinnacle lines 72 hours prior to each game. I may not post exactly 72 hours beforehand but the timestamp at http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-odds/college-football/ will confirm and I will post this confirmation as soon as I can.
    2. Multiple entries are permitted per person.
    3. Users who cannot afford the buy-in may join a team. All teams must pick a name and respond in this thread listing their team after buy-in is paid. Users may join multiple teams. Prizes will be split by percentage of points sent by each team member (example).

    About me:

    -I am currently in the betpoints as a lender and currently have given loans to 5 SBR members
    -I have never received a loan from anyone
    -I had an NFL competition with Milwaukee Mike where I gave 2000 points to yisman to hold before the competition started. -- I lost.
    -I am willing to help any SBR member by loaning them a % of the entry fee. If you are a pro you must post at least 40 points (max I will loan is 60) before the competition starts. You can ask for a loan in this thread (I will confirm by posting in this thread where you will send 6 points a day for 10 straight days beginning Dec 21st) If you miss more than 5 days of payment you will forfeit the 40 + 6s sent and be disqualified.
    -If you are a non-pro and would like to enter you must show me either credit or forum history and begin sending me 2 points per day ASAP. If non-pros do enter I will cover their full entry fee when payouts are sent even though they are still paying 100 off (if you win and there are 50 contestants you will receive 2500 immediately even though non-pros are still paying me).
    -As you can see payouts are 97% - I am taking a 3% cut in case of loan losses -- if a competitor does not continue with payments and forfeits then anything they sent will be in the pool but the number of contestants will drop by 1 (so originally 50, it is now 49 - winner will receive $2450 + % of the entry fee I received).

    The contests are having serious issues right now, this is probably easier. LT Profits has been dealing with techs for days trying to get his contest figured out, after about 5 tries they still haven't straightened it out.
    Wouldn't be a bad idea though if the contests were up and running normally.

    maybe edit the lines so every line is a 1/2 pt... that way there are no ties to deal with???

    I was thinking about this but I think if I moved the lines half a point it 'could' start some negative discussion if people are unhappy that it was moved from -3 to -3.5 and they won't play their strong lean anymore because I moved the line. Does that make sense?

    It's doubtful this would cause a large problem but -2.5 compared to -3.5 is a huge difference and there would probably be competitors trying to persuade me. If anyone has a solution to this that would be great to hear but for the time being we'll leave it the way it is.

    Does anyone have any objections to totals being added? If so let's discuss, if there isn't any objection I will add totals to the rules tomorrow night

    What I'm planning on doing is after I grade a play I will 'nominate' your post. I'm doing this as check for myself so I know what plays are graded and the ones that aren't. If I make any mistakes just let me know and I will be sure to fix. As well, quick reminder, don't edit any of your posts for any reason here on out -- Any edits for any reason will be graded as a 1* loss.     Quick question, so is this just graded on points from wins? or are you subtracting the losses. Example you lose a 3* and win a 2* is that a -1 ? or a +2 for the win?
