If you only donated just to receive a badge, then you didnt donate for the right reason

Yeah, you only receive a badge when its something special set up to try and get additional donations. Look at it for what it is, a donation.

I donated for poker tourney knowing full well I would be at Georgia game and unable to play. But it gave me some good karma and made me feel warm and tingly all over.

As far as badges, who cares, the only one that means anything is the steak badge(that kinda looks like a vagina) and it is quickly disappearing from the forum from what I can tell.

Lou please give me a reasonable price to purchase a new steak badge. I just havent been the same since I lost mine.

Point is there is no proof the donation was even made. I'm happy to give to a charitable cause, but I want to know it's going toward that cause, and as of this point I have received nothing but the run-around. It won't happen again.

Not sure how if I stuck some badge on your profile that would prove the cash actually made it to St Jude's at all but yes the others are right: You don't receive a badge for a regular donation. If you're in doubt about where your money goes, send Sam a PM. He sends the donations in bulk to charities. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to provide you with a copy of the cheque he sends when it goes.

Glad it wont happen again. You show them kids that if your gonna make a donation from points that are given to you for doing basically nothing anyway that there better be a badge along with it and maybe next time a parade as well. You showed them good.

Get over yourself, you donated the equivalent of $15 bucks worth of points and then have actually taken the time to come in here and rant and claim "it wont happen again". Can I again emphasize that the points are given to you in exchange for visiting a web site that you would probably visit anyway. And the goal was a charitable donation, not a recognition contest of who's who? Would a badge really have made you content in this scenario.

Here is some proof that donations are actually made if you would like to see.

I should elaborate a little better. The poker charity happened this past weekend. For those that participated, whether you wanted a fukking badge or not, the recognition is still there that first, proof the benefit DID happen (scanned cashier's check) and second, badges were applied to all who either played and donated or simply donated. October 14th I made a $30 donation to St.Judes research. I did ASSUME a badge would be applied, that is true, but more as proof that the donation was actually made and/or a scanned cashier's check would be PM'd as the option states in the SBR store. Neither of these happened, and after 23 days, those I've contacted don't seem to know anything. Whether you agree or not I could care less, you have your opinion. I have mine.

Sam9ball (guy in thread i linked above) would be the guy to contact with inquiries concerning charitable donations.

Maybe try chatting with him instead of trying your hardest to make yourself appear as big as possible of a dbag, but I guess everyone has there reasons. Good luck going forward.

mike the poker tournament was a discount, you got to buy a $25 donation for 250 points as opposed to a $30 donation for 325.

So it was +EV to enter the poker tourney! The prizes weren't the point and weren't that big anyway. Point was to get a donation in for an affordable price.

    for the op:
