    SBR Trivia mistake

Who made the 1999 All Star game but did not pitch in the game?

    Hideki Matsui
    Raul Mondessi
    Scott Williamson
    Rafael Furcal

Fairly certain not a single one of these guys pitched in that all star game.

    Reset please?

The only mistake is that Mondesi was misspelled.

Only Scott Williamson made the AS Game I believe. It cannot be a correct answer if they didn't make the 1999 all star game.

Matsui, Mondesi or Furcal didn't "make the 1999 All Star game" as the question asked.

However Williamson was on the NL team in '99 but never pitched. So he should be the correct answer.

shari I think I win this round.

Anyway, the other three wouldn't be good answers anyway because you can tell the Q is looking for a pitcher. The other three aren't/weren't pitchers. Two outfielders and an infielder. I'm happy to say I know all of this.

I knew Matsui and Furcal but had to doublecheck Mondesi.

And yes you definitely did win this round. You won another yesterday or the day before... phone rang and you got me by like 2 minutes but I didn't bother to give you satisfaction of victory.

But considering I just told you I guess I defeated the purpose of that, no?

Ugh, I just assumed it was worded incorrectly. That is a tricky question though. Common SBR.

I assume it was a big pointer one?

That's why I always stop at 10pts. I refuse to Google and the questions get so much more sneaky as you go on. Makes sense because you win more but I'm too chicken.

It only makes sense to go for 2.

To make it worth it to go for 3 you'd need to be able to get the third Q right at at least a 35% clip, and a good portion of them are going to be random guesses (25%).

Going for 2 is a no brainer though because even straight guessing it's very worth it.

Today I lost on the second one and although it was a trick question, I actually knew the answer. Not much time to think though so I blew it.

oh wow, that'd be tough for me... I guess for those who knew right off the bat those other 3 weren't pitchers would find it easy though. Like I said I had to doublecheck Mondesi so I would've been torn between him and Williamson.
