floating the idea of taking a 10,000 betpoints loan
i know this is a big one
i'm almost paid off on the 5600 i owed thaddeus from january
i would either want something like
1) a 10,000 betpoints loan with 1%/week interest (max 60 pts/week or so, otherwise it could go a while with no principal)
2) a 5,000 point bet, if i win then i get shipped 10,000 but owe 5,000 + interest. if i lose i get shipped nothing and owe 5,000 + interest
just seeing if this is even doable, nothing urgent at the moment

not too many people can handle a loan of this size, it's hard to build up that many points and not spend them/piss them away. in fact, i always wondered why anyone would build up more than 10,000 since there's no value in ordering anything larger than that
I might be willing to do it if people pay me back. I'm owed a lot.
ok cool yisman. it'd probably be a couple weeks out since i still might owe 1500 or so to thaddeus/side bets.
if the sbr sportsbook had higher limits i would probably rather take a 50/50 shot at the ipad3 than borrow it all. and i might win it on the blackjack special tomorrow (wishful thinking lol).
not sure i even want the ipad (i already have ipad2 and touchpad), but it would be sweet to have 2 ipad badges
The routine loan requests continue to get bigger and bigger. Wonder how long it is before the normal loan requests is 5k.

yisman what are your thoughts? if the sharks or coyotes win the pacific division i will pretty much have my debt paid off, otherwise i will still owe thaddeus 900 or so (full disclosure)

I'd do #1.
Only tweak is that a certain amount would start out before the 1% weekly, as standard.
Let's say 10,500 due within a week. If not, 1% added each week, capped at 60.

so i would report it the same as the loan from thaddeus
first week would be
0/60 interest
0/10500 principal
then assuming i paid 100 the first week the next week would start
0/60 interest
0/10460 principal
then when the principal gets below 6000 the interest is 1% of the balance each week
my only other disclaimer is that i will be playing poker each day (for now). but that should amount to more than 11 pts/day coming back to me if you look at the pay tables, and i will play low limits on the rollover.
Yes, agree to playing poker, it's +EV. Only problem is rollover. Pain in the neck and the poker software rounds down, which is why I try to leave when I'm not much above a whole number.
Is 10,500 a normal amount? I just had to come up with something because technically according the original terms, if it were paid back quickly I'd wind up with little to nothing.

kind of hard to judge what is fair since so few of these things get done
