    9000 betpoints

So I've gotten to 9000 betpoints. If I'm not currently a pro what can I do with them these days?

    Congrats,

but after you go pro you only get to keep 3000.

    6000 down the drain unfortunately.

I have over 5,000 points, which I think is the limit (or at least it used to be) before you lose the rest if you go pro.

My question is, if I do turn pro, can I donate the points above 5,000 to charity or something? Or give them to another poster? Or do they just disappear?

In any event, I think the answer is to turn pro, get gift cards with your 5,000 points to cover whatever the cost is of turning pro ($200 or whatever) and then collect enough points for another gift card by next year if you don't use them. But obviously, I'm not speaking from experience -- just from the guys who tell me how -EV it is to not go pro and take advantage of all the points you've accumulated.

I'll take 2 points then you should go pro for free basically.

Looks like it's a $100 charity donation to turn pro, and a $100 Target gift card is now 2,950 points.

So turn pro, lose all points above 5,000, get a gift card for 2,950, then start accumulating daily points as a pro with a 2,050 point balance. Sound right?

Edit -- just saw it gets reset to 3,000 instead of 5,000. So scratch that.

That's right No Coin. All points over 3k are reset, but as long as you don't let your pro membership lapse your points are never reset again.

What happens to the points over 3,000? Just lost in space?

Still not a terrible deal. Donate to charity then get a gift card right back for the amount you spent.

After that, the sky is the limit...gift cards for days.

Honestly you should be able to call n and talk to them. I am a PRO and yet I have never redeemed a dime.

I have three thread with a total of 700,000 views, yes .7 of a million and they have never done a damn thing for me. Take advantage of them of you want to, or ignore them if you want to....all about the user. SBR doesnt really care about it's best contributors.

While I appreciate your input I've been here for almost 6 years. I'm very well aware of how the leadership treats it's company. Probably explains the long lapse of my participation around here.

Is LT Profits, J7, John, Willie B, JJGold still around?

So what is an e-card. What companies can I spend that at? Seems weird to buy something and have no idea if it has any value to you.

Its an egift card. Has the same value as a normal one and operates in the same way. Using target as an example it is basically a gift card number that gets emailed to you and you can use it online, or put it in their mobile app and it gives you a barcode to use in store.
