    I don't mind feedback, but via PM is preferred...that being said, I think reasonable people could disagree on who's the better borrower. When I lend to someone, I make no secret of what I'm thinking and what I expect (as you know), but I prefer to do so privately until someone is officially stiffing.

    Charging interest is necessary to incentivize timely payback and to help prevent people from kicking payment down the road and burying themselves in the process. Might seem crazy because it's weekly, but there are good examples of folks I've lent to who have paid consistently and ended up paying less because of it.

    Assuming for a second you're an authority on the matter, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how less frequent feedback motivates a quicker response. Seems to me the longer the interval between reminders, the more likely a person is to take shots with and squander the points.

    Borrowing should cost more the longer it takes to repay, and interest is an extremely fair way to consistently assess the cost of the borrower holding on to points. When it's a flat cost only (+XX points after 60 days or the like) and there's no penalty for super-slowpaying, we've seen where that leads (mostly "mistakes" and shot-taking)

    charging ridiculous interest weekly is NOT an incentive for timely payback save for the most exceptional people. monthly interest is much more incentive. you are burying these guys and they have buried themselves by agreeing to these terms.

    hey at least my lender is getting paid daily . his freezing my interest propelled me into doing the right thing. he is not going to miss a day of payment. meanwhile you are going to be stiffed by burying t hese two guys jeffdane and borednaz. 40+ pts per week. and you think that will get them to pay you . no i think you assume YOU are the authority on this matter. after awhile you will freeze interest for their benefit and hopefullly they do the right thing any pay you back .     Your lender is getting paid 'daily' (at least recently after quite a bit of harassment, an extremely long period of nothing and a risky consolidation loan which was immediately betrayed), and after countless and constant 'mistakes', you seem to be slowly wandering in the direction of doing the right thing...congratulations. Whether or not someone repays a debt has a lot to do with their character. Freezing interest MIGHT coax a small percentage of people to do the right thing...and it might also allow people to continually take advantage and make 'mistakes', apologize profusely, swear they're turning over a new leaf only to make another 'mistake'.

    Bottom line: the longer you borrow someone else's points/dollars/assets, the greater the cost should be...if I didn't care about ever seeing my points again, I'd just give them away. I might not be the foremost expert on lending, but I've kept my word in all of my dealings...when you can show the same for more than a week at a time, your opinions on other people's loans might have some credibility.

    how did i betray my consolidation loan ? countlesss and constant mistakes ? now you are just making up lies . there were two chances i had to pay suman back in full and i threw them down the toilet. there were not countless mistakes. stop exaggerating to the point of lying. freezing interest i think would make a lot more people pay back their lenders than charging them 40+ pts per week and burying them further. they will just think how the fuk am i going to get outta this and screw you. yur a fukkin tool dude i hope you do get stiffed

    1. he states ater harassment and a long per iod of not paying is what made me start paying back suman. THIS IS NOT TRUE. i paid suman out of principle and because of my honesty and character as he stated. less than 10% of people on this forum would have paid back that loan after such a long time and harassment.

    Betrayed consolidation loan by gambling with points that were supposed to go to TMS (and no, "i think he's got enough points" and "I paid back loans before so I'll eventually pay everyone back" doesn't excuse the fact you broke your word). Constant examples over past 2 months alone of asking for loan for one thing, dumping points in sportsbook and semi-apologizing for the 'mistake'...only to do it again (my favorite being borrowing 8 times for a tourney and not even playing). Call 'em lies all you want, doesn't change your point histories...nor does getting indignant....do I really need to link to the threads for all this stuff?

    Holding yourself up as an example of what freezing interest can do makes a very compelling point, just not the one you'd prefer. I don't consider any of my borrowers stiffs yet, and as I mentioned above, I'll continue to discuss issues with them in private to keep everything on track. Get pissy all you want and try to call out other people on their loans...just don't think a few days of payments are enough to lend any weight to your opinions, or that hovering just this side of the "stiff/slowpay" line gives you any moral authority.

    And last but not least, don't think I'm not going to call you out on it when you spew your crap in my threads
