Will offer 3-1 on California Chrome FOR SOME SBR PROS in the Belmont (hurry)

I am offering 3-1 on California Chrome FOR POSTERS (SBR PROS) in the Belmont

    ALL SBR PROS may participate

    Here are the Rules.
    RULE #1
First this is a Celebration of California Chrome, if you are a hater, not a fan of Chrome and the quest for the TRIPLE Crown stay away. no bad karma. if you hate the horse that much offer me 3-1.

    max risk is 33 points
    minimum risk is 3

You get 3-1 on California Chrome in Belmont (horse must start for action)

    Rule #2
You must post up your points and in a POST in this thread give me a horse racing related fact, trivia, info or tidbit I don’t know (go ahead and give the fact or the answer). It will be an honor system by me. if I previously knew the fact or not. If I do know the fact I will return your points. If I don’t return consider your 3-1 bet good and ROOT on California Chrome!

The fact must be something that is potentially traceable, and related to Horse Racing directly. like you cant say, right now at Belmont Park there is a girl in a blue shirt buying a program. you know what I mean. I will cut you some slack but not to the point of ridiculous.

Hurry as this offer will close whenever I feel!

Northern Dancer beat the track record at the Kentucky derby in 1964 and held it until Secretariat beat the time in 1973.

sorry boeing I knew that one.

he was actually the first colt/filly/gelding at KY derby 1 1/4 miles to get 2:00

one funny thing is that despite that monster run he Northern Dancer was Second choice in the Preakness!

something that another sub 2:00 Derbywinning horse was also.. who?

Longest meaning distance wise at a mile and a half.

    I'll try another one.

The Kentucky Derby has been run at two different distances. It started out in 1875 at 1 1/2 miles till 1895 . In 1896 it was changed to a distance of 1 1/4 miles which is still used today.

OK robber good fact there. Do you know the specific years by chance?? belmont not held in I think 1911 and 1912 but that was actually before the first horse won the triple crown, and the term was not even defined then so many of us say the triple crwon started with Sir Barton in 1919, but there is no hard and fast definition for that... the order and spacing of the 3 races was mixed up back then also..

Horse racing is one of the oldest sports around. It was originated
by nomads around the year 4500 B.C. It is possible that the sport began
before this time but 4500 B.C. is when they first started keeping written
    records.

The earliest known evidence of horse racing was found in a Botai culture archaeological dig in present day Kazakhstan dated to around 5000-5500 years ago. An artistic representation of an ancient horse race was loosely translated as the winning horse, named GoGoGo, paying 3 to 2

I can't confirm this is true, but when I went on a backstretch tour at Saratoga Race Track they said that the Saratoga Track was the oldest Professional Sports Venue in America. Wikipedia can't confirm either, but close enough. " It is the second oldest racetrack in the US (after Freehold Raceway), though it is often considered to be the oldest sporting venue of any kind in the country."
